what is the work situation so far there now? Notice they posted job opening. I need a job before I lose my mind completely.

The platform is terrible, Apex, but you can devise some work-arounds. That is why there minimum LPHs are so low: 115 MT, 200 Speech Wreck. SR is M*Modal, not bad, but on my account, constantly and maddeningly leaves out small, yet clearly enunciated words. My supervisor is great as is her assistant, but your supe cannot give you an account or move you. Only the Almighty Scheduling can. Very, very hard to get an answer from them. They also grant, from on high, all your time-off requests or flex requests. It's crazy. One person is in charge of all that, although I think they finally hired her a helper.

You are guaranteed to hate it at first, at least the acute care side, and make very crappy $, but if you have some time to ride it out, and most of us don't, it gets better.

I had some friends already there to help me out with some of these issues, or I probably would have quit. However, I am now making the highest tier for SR (at least for the last few pay periods) and have an account I like with supervisors I like. So, in my case, it was definitely worth sticking it out. They have hired a scheduling helper, so I am also hopeful this situation will get better. I seldom run out on my accounts, but have friends who do run out. They are getting some new accounts, but not sure when they start. I find it much better here than the other major MTSOs, but as the above poster stated, it does take some getting used to and I agree overall with her assessment.

People keep quitting so then they hire one, two quit, they hire two. Run, don't walk, keep looking. Best thing I ever did was quit after Accentus bought the company I was working for. I can't live on pennies per hour.

Even though they were bought by Nuance, does Accentus continue to function independently? Has pay changed at all? I notice they still have their specital teams i.e. gold team, star team (something like that). Also they seem to have an ads up like every other week or if not ever week. Just wondering if there has been any changes since Nuance took over and if there are any changes to be expected with regards to pay because they use to be one of the better paying MTSOs out there. ...

I will be interviewing soon for a position at Accentus. Since they are a part of Nuance, I thought I would post my questions here. I want to get the opinions of any current workers. Do they run out of work often? Is the Apex platform anything close to the Escription platform? Is the STAR team really worth the extra per line or is it too much to take in? I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. The US transcriptionists are very sad!! What a difference..... ...

checking the QA box, it does not go through QA, right? I know we are not supposed to put in disparaging remarks, but would "speak up" or "stop mumbling" be considered a disparaging remark? I am so tired of these docs who mumble and cannot be understood...how else will they know we can't hear/understand them if we can't tell them...all they see is the nice finished product not what we have to go through to get them that. ...

Okay, so in my experience in trying to be compliant on making up time and "switching" swapping time when I had a funeral to attend. No problem picking up the times, but here is what happens. When I have had NJA or something happened which required a 30 min here or there I wanted to pick up and make up the hours. I have worked for the Q was not audited before (that I know of). I don't see anyone talking about the test itself or working coders or coding students bringing it up, so I will. I went to school for coding, got certified and could not find a job. That aside, the A and P portion of my schooling was extremely intense. I have been an MT for 15 years and I had no idea how lacking my knowledge of A/P really was. I'm going to test this out myself the next time I use one. If this is true, sure would explain my slightly plummeting line count from usual no matter how hard I try. That would be some BS for sure. Makes you wonder why they make that "rule" that we are not allowed to make our own expanders from their standards!!!! AHA! I recently had 0.25 error in FIESA for having "complaining of lateral-sided pain" instead of "complaining of left lateral-sided pain." The comment that the reviewer made was "Downgraded as clear throughout the report." What does that mean exactly? I rarely ever see any comments at all from them. Hi. I haven't been working for Accentus very long, but long enough that I should be meeting the 200 lph requirement for SR, but I'm still really struggling to do it. I was wondering if anyone else had that experience or if maybe I am entering my time incorrectly or something. I consistently average 165 lph for straight transcription so I feel like 200 is something I shouldn't be struggling so hard to meet, but I am. I love Accentus so far so I don't wa ...
