Accentus Employees - sm

Even though they were bought by Nuance, does Accentus continue to function independently? Has pay changed at all? I notice they still have their specital teams i.e. gold team, star team (something like that). Also they seem to have an ads up like every other week or if not ever week. Just wondering if there has been any changes since Nuance took over and if there are any changes to be expected with regards to pay because they use to be one of the better paying MTSOs out there.

No changes in pay...yet...but I am sure they are coming - anon

I have friends at both Webmedx and Transcend and I fled both companies when they were bought out...this time I am resigned, nowhere else to flee but out of this profession, which will be soon I hope (have several promising leads). Anyway, my friends that went through those transitions said nothing happened for a while, but then boom...the axe fell and their pay was cut. So, if you are considering this company, realize that pay cuts are almost sure to come. Good luck.

I would assume based on that Accentus will become fully assimilated into Nuance by end of year.

At that point you will be a Nuance employee and pay, PTO, benefits, policies will be Nuance policies.

Transcend certainly no longer functions independently and I would say it is safe to say the same fate awaits Accentus and its employees.

...have it through the grapevine that we will be transitioning to their software in some format in the next few months. As our health insurance open enrollment year begins June 1, I' assuming that by next month we will be offered Nuance benefits. Pay declines will most assuredly come at some point after putting our accounts on whatever platform they are currently "testing".

I will be interviewing soon for a position at Accentus. Since they are a part of Nuance, I thought I would post my questions here. I want to get the opinions of any current workers. Do they run out of work often? Is the Apex platform anything close to the Escription platform? Is the STAR team really worth the extra per line or is it too much to take in? I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. The US transcriptionists are very sad!! What a difference..... ...

Hi. I haven't been working for Accentus very long, but long enough that I should be meeting the 200 lph requirement for SR, but I'm still really struggling to do it. I was wondering if anyone else had that experience or if maybe I am entering my time incorrectly or something. I consistently average 165 lph for straight transcription so I feel like 200 is something I shouldn't be struggling so hard to meet, but I am. I love Accentus so far so I don't wa ...

I would be doing cliniic work because I want the flexible 12-hour schedule to fit around a part time job working directly for a small hospital. I may end up being bored, but I want to give it a try. How is the clinic work and how is the Apex system? I have previously worked on DocQspeech and Escription. I really want no more than two accounts and to be mostly just left alone unless I screw something up. Is this possible with Accentus? ...

Medical Transcription just keeps going downhill. They expect more and pay less. I work for Accentus now and actually love my account and got my pay up to 5 cents for SR and 9 cents for transcription, but I have to work 10 hours a day just to make ends meet. They pay based on how many lines you type per hour so it can change every pay period. It's better than what I had at Transcend. The only thing is that my supervisor is a narcissist, very mean, tears you down ...
