as I've been doing legal for just a little bit and the notes that the court reporter gives just suck. A sentence can have 15 to 20 words in it and the CR typed one. What's up with that? My pay is decent, but it takes a long time to type this crap when you have no backup from a CR and you have to listen and relisten and relisten just to get a sentence out. I can't really say that legal transcription is awesome and the pay is great, as it takes a lot of time to get the transcript right, so it doesn't average out to making a decent wage by the hour.
