And then there's the matter of being shorted - Jill M. Posted: Mar 8th, 2017 - 5:11 am In Reply to: Phoenix Medcom - What is the deal??? - Sick and Tired
I'm currently with PMC myself. I keep myself under the radar as far as QA goes, somehow. What is more serious for me is the matter of being short-changed. Here's how it happens: report comes in on Inscribe, we have to type it into client's EMR (Epic). We are paid a flat rate based on type of report, and depending on dictator, it can be as little as 13 lines for a followup and as little as 23 lines for an initial consult. This is no matter how many raw lines one has to type. I also had to subscribe to a different shortcut program to use with Epic, and the setup phone calls to tech support to get on the system were done on my own time. Oh, I almost forgot, the uncompensated Go to Meeting sessions.
I think about pasting the reports back into Inscribe to count the true typed lines and keep a running tab, but pathetic me, I need this gig, and I am trying to keep my mental equilibrium. Maybe I should contact my state's AG...
