I feel like this company has been toeing the line between treating us like IC's and treating us like employees for quite some time. I know they used to bother everyone about their hired "schedule" but recently changed to to a certain line count a week. Today, I get an email about this new audit system in place and how if I don't get a 99%, I have to schedule a call with the manager to discuss ways to improve my work.
This doesn't feel like something that falls under "IC." This feels like 100% employee territory. I understand audits for clients and audits to make sure I'm keeping standards, but forcing me to have a meeting with the Quality Manager to "discuss ways to help you improve your work" isn't something you tell an IC.
