Couple answers that leave more questions - KT

So stressful trying to make good decisions, ugh! I will address a couple of your concerns and I'm sure others will come along with more info. First of all, Fusion is not terribly hard to learn, but Synernet does not utilize its features to full capacity. It does not "learn" so you'll correct the same mistakes over and over in VR. And instant text isn't functional so you make short forms in Word. But it's a pretty clean interface so that should be the least of your worries!

VR vs straight typing varies by the accounts you do. I personally do about 15% VR but surely some do much more. "Good lines" varies by definition and also by work pool. Bottom line, you won't know until you've come on board and been assigned your pool. Your pool could be made up of 7 or 8 different accounts, and some can be pretty good, some not so great, and lots of reading account protocols to keep them straight.

As for schedule, the hours are very strict and they manage us closely. Someone will be looking for you if you disappear for more than just a few minutes during your shift (outside of your 30-minute lunch period), so you can't just wander off and take the dog for a walk and be gone 20 minutes without checking in with the leads. Let me qualify and say that was under the old supervisor who just left - maybe some of the tight management style will ease, who knows? But with some accounts it might take every minute in your shift to hit the 1400 lines.

Outside your training period (and you may not actually have to train for 2 weeks if you're achieving enough lines in your new accounts) the line requirement is strict and you will hear about it if your average isn't meeting the standard. Obviously you can monitor your own lines and know where you stand, but be prepared for emails if your average falls below.

Short and sweet -- show up when scheduled, work your butt off and make lines and they leave you alone. The pay is about average, the insurance is okay but way better that nothing and you earn good PTO. It's not perfect but that cushy in-house job I took for granted for years isn't coming back so this will have to do. Most of the other services sound too horrendous to even consider! Good luck to you, whatever you decide!!
