I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones too. I usually meet all the requirements, pass my audits, have a responsive manager and rarely run out of work. I wish everyone was having the same experience. It's a shame that after many, many years of hard work, I sit in a chair, rarely getting up, for fear of not meeting my line count or not meeting my productivity statistics. It's also a shame that I make about 3 dollars less per hour compared to 8 years ago. On the other hand, I have never needed a sitter, had to buy professional work attire, sat in long stretches of traffic or had to be forced to deal with annoying coworkers. I guess I try to look at the bright side. Bottom line, I guess I just really wish we got the respect and the wages we deserve for this job where very important and vital medical records are in our hands.
