Almost every career has work-from-home options these days. That's what people want. It's also good for employers because they can use their work space on-site for money-making activities like seeing more patients, building more labs. Remote jobs are here to stay. People can play the blame game as victims, but others will change with the times and enjoy good money, great working conditions, and success, while others complain or hide in fear staying in poor jobs because another career 'might' not work out well. In the meantime, it's working pretty darn well for people who are doing it and loving it.
