Yes, it could be any number of reasons. I tend to take things personally, yes, so that was my initial reaction, but then on second thought I didn't. Also, me "sticking up for myself" by asking why made me feel better too. Regarding sticking up for myself, that's another thing I'm able to do more these days. Instead of just internalizing everything and having it simmer in me, nowadays my consciousness has shifted to the point that I'm more immediately aware of this internalization and can speak up right away if there's an issue.
