Yes, we are responsible to provide an accurate report and... - Linda

We should be thanked for our volunteer work. Yes, volunteer means you work without pay. That is what hands off the keyboard means, work without pay. The doctors who don't know how to dictate are responsible for a large portion of our daily volunteer labor. It is this volunteer labor that prevents malpractice suits and it happens all the time. For the service we provide, at the measly line rate we receive, the health care profession as well as the MTSOs are getting a fantastic deal. Yes, we are upset with everyone involved in the ripoff off MTs and we have every right to be! I don't care how many things are on the doctor's minds as they dictate, try living in poverty for a year and see how much is on your mind as you struggle to pay the bills and feed the kids while doing required duties for free! You worry about keeping the electric bill paid so you can continue to work, try to decide if gas or water is more important in the winter, because you can't pay for both. You wonder if the QA person will make up new rules every time she audits a report to score more points for herself by reducing your salary. It's just a matter of time before we sue for everything they are illegally doing and I think reductions in our pay for DOCTOR errors, as well as marking errors where none exist will be the next labor board action against the MTSOs.
