Teachers and nurses already have unions. Teachers and police officers are not paid very well, particularly considering that they put their lives on the line every day. What nurses do cannot be compared to what MTs do, employers are proving that they can get along without us. I know that sounds harsh, but that's the reality. It would probably take more than walking off the job for 2 days to reverse offshoring and voice recognition. They've seen cheap labor and I wouldn't expect them to pay you more. Foreigners do not handle all IT work, I don't know where you got that idea. Strike away but don't expect much to change.
