Surely it's just a matter of Ctrl+A and out with it?
Personally, I try to keep it short but at times it can be complicated, especially when the specs do not spell out what to do in a particular situation.
I guess it would vary by platform? On Enterprise we have just a box and I would not think it would have to be tedious to erase it at all, but I guess we really don't know what you see on your end of it.
