Okay but I haven't received it yet. Just curious as to the type of account you had and what you meant. I have read a couple of posts about this over the last few months but no one ever explains anything.

I've not lost an account here, but I did lose my job several years back because the physicians switched to a new EMR that incorporated Dragon Naturally Speaking as front-end speech recognition. They corrected any mistakes themselves.

As far as here at Nuance, there have been several accounts that the work has dwindled and I've often wondered whether some of the doctors were using front-end SR, i.e. Dragon, after we trained it somehow. Some people have said the accounts went to India, but I know at least one account that did not happen to.

If you have studied history at all, you ought to know what happened when Hitler was in power. I agree, the comments in your subject line borders on hate speech. I think you need to get out of the house once in a while, go for a walk or go to the gym and let off some steam.

Let's be honest here, I don't love corporate greed anymore than the next person whether its Nuance, or Mmodal, or Nike!

But the bottom line is THIS: Our system currently supports and rarely questions CAPITALISM, which IS unfettered earnings with no legal requirement for a conscience. Many corporations either by choice or by new laws DO demonstrate a conscience, but otherwise they are not required to do so.

IF you don't like the results of capitalism (higher cost of living, lower pay, etc) FIGHT THAT. Otherwise you bitterness, while understood, is misplaced and will do not a thing to change your current picture.

No support for capitalism here. Nor for Nazis. - Nor for our corporate government.

There is rumor that Transcend has lost a huge account and I see someone further down on the board figures this to be true since she now has work in this account, only she is working for a different MTSO. Anyone care to elaborate? I say this is only the beginning for them, the way they push and shove until TAT is down to about 3 minutes. You only get what you pay for in this industry. Today is Sunday, I work in the South Region and I'm getting a hospital I never had before. I have had the same hospital for a very long time and used to never run out of work and now it is just about gone. Small to medium-sized company lost a very large long-term client. Naturally, the MTs are to blame. Reason given was the work was out of turn around on weekends and MTs did not meet their commitments. I can't say what percentage of MTs did not meet their commitments. I do know that I always have. It was my secondary account and wasn't a bad one to do. The client got a new EMR that has them doing most, if not all, of the work on their end and very little, if any, left for us. I hope this isn't a sign of the times ahead for me. (Sigh) ...

I work for a hospital doing acute care/clinic work. We have a handful of docs using Dragon, and the plans for the future are to implement "Dynamic Dictation" for all clinic providers. I was wondering if anyone uses Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional to manage their workload as an IC. I would like to be able to input my voicefiles into Dragon and have it produce a draft for me to edit (like at an MTSO). I need to be able to create the profiles without needing to "teach" it because I want to have a different profile for each doctor I have so it will be more accurate.
