It really is true that no good deed goes unpunished. Amazing the types of people that come on this board.

Every transcriptionist was sent a gift card. There is something called the US Mail, that gets delayed.

I hope next year Transcend doesn't bother, I love the company and it seems that no matter what they do - it's bashed on this board.

What I will do though is respectively be unavailable the next time those crappy ESL stats come in that I'm stroked to turn around for manager very quickly.

If the program is not administered equally and fairly then it should be discontinued. It creates a lot of hard feelings. No one should have to grovel and ask a manager for their "gift" because it is not a gift if you have to ask for it. The managers should be less malicious and more consciencious about making sure everyone got them. Transcend has all the records so they could verify them. What is with managers who do not even know who is still working for them?

I worked there for 5 years and each year only received a $25.00 gift card. Everyone, whether they called in frequently or reported for extra duty, typed 200 or 2000 lines a day, been there for 5 days or 5 years, received the same amount, and it was more like a slap in the face rather than something that conveyed...great job and its appreciated. It just shows what they think of their MTs.

should be arrested for grand theft. My friend has been on the lists as an employee (for lack of a better word) for several years, gets the cards, the thank yous, ad nauseum, but brags that she's never even transcribed 1000 lines a year. Just depends on who you know as to what you get at this place. Others get threatened if they miss their required line count by 10 lines. Just depends on whether you have the nice ROMs or the crappy love to cause trouble ROMs.

That sounds so typical of Transcend!!!! I feel for you. I worked for them for a few months, but when I realized they just weren't going to pull their heads out of that warm dark place they keep them, I left. I got sick of their perpetual manipulation of the work pools and the managers who were complete idiots. I do understand, though, how hurt you must feel at this slap in the face.

of TRS left, including the one who was a VP. Those were the ones that made TRS a nice place to work. But they firmly entrenched a reject medquest management person who is probably bringing the worst of MQ with it.

I believe a lot of the Medquist management folks are leaving or being let go. MQ seems to be in a continual restructuring process these days.

I wouldn't automatically assume these ex-MQ'rs are a bad apple. I personally plan on giving them a benefit of the doubt for now. I've seen a lot of management folks come and go during my years here, some have been great while others tended to mess things up royally.

Let's hope the current management has a firm vision for the future of this company that ensures our jobs and the ability to make a good living.

It is next to impossible for any company with so many virtual employees to get something like that out without an error.

The sad thing is that when there is a mistake on a GIFT, there is such an ungratefulness and quick assumption that the error is on purpose.

I'm just sayin....as a radiology MT in this company for 14 years...we have always sent radiology reports straight through to the docs to review and sign (because of turnaround time)....never knew they did QA until I got new accounts 2 years ago....and have had some pretty bad foreigners. I believe it is docs job to go over his reports anyway...he is legally responsible.. ...

Just wondering about the sending of blanks. I had a few blanks due to inaudible dictation. I know QA wouldn't be able to get it either, but when I uploaded the job the QA box was checked and I tried to uncheck it and it wouldn't let me. So, how do you just send it straight to the client and not to QA? ...

Are they kidding? Who is going to be sending ANYTHING to QA and take a chance of having their pay cut? Especially if it's the beginning of the work week! Yes, the clients will be getting blanks and I know they will be complaining. The Q keeps sending us e-mails telling us to cut down on QA submissions. Are they kidding? I feel that I flag a lot and send to QA a lot. I've been at this for about a year, do acute care, lots of ESL etc so I think it's a reasonably difficult account; but I ask myself do really experienced MTs, e.g. those at this for 5 years or 10 years or more, send so many jobs over to QA? Okay, I got a ding today from my extremely sweet and helpful QATL. It seems I did not send as a cc a requesting physician dictated. I looked at the report and I did enter the requesting physician in the ADT and the body of the report. I thought if they did not specifically request a cc be sent, then you did not. Am I wrong? Old dog needs help. Also, I thought if the Req Physician was in the ADT it automatically received a carbon copy.. Hmmm.. ...

I just wonder, as an MT we are REQUIRED to respond IMMEDIATELY to an email that they say "respond immediately" to. But if in that email it states any questions, please let us know and you email them back with questions and now 2 weeks later, you still have not received an answer back. Either that or they are just that incompetent and can't catch any errors. I'm doing QAing on an account that is half overseas and half in the US and for now the account is 100% QA since it is new. The ILPs have to go through 2 levels of 100% ILP QA before it gets to me and they never have any errors marked. When I go through it, I find upwards of 10 errors on each report, some critical. It's nice to know our pay is going to lazy ILPs. ...
