It would be very helpful if you would state whether or not OT is approved. Never sure if you're referring to part-timers & people who need to make up hours versus allowing us to hop on for OT.

wouldnt you direct this to your CCM as he/she is - supposed to do that

Not all supervisors read this board, so you should send an e-mail to your CCM and let them know your confused.

Our updates come from a variety of people, rarely the CCM. - Team leads, customer support, etc. NM

Only my CCM sends out those backlog summaries. I guessl I would still contact your CCM and explain that you are uncertain as to when to put in OT

Then they will pay OT...I would assume if they are calling and asking for help they dont care how it gets done so long as it gets done...

At the top of every Backlog email it states "OT/extra - hours are approved" and then

She will have a copy of the statistics. My CCM sends these emails sometimes two or three times a day.

And sometimes I even get automated calls from her addressing the team and asking them if they are able to please get on and help with backlog.

You should probably send your CCM an email and ask her if she could be more specific when she sends out those emails.

It's not automatic OT. It's only OT if they state that. - dnr

It's sent out with the hopes of getting us to put our nose to the grindstone even harder. In fact, it even used to say something to that effect, stating that we should get rid of distractions and focus on working better. Glad they stopped putting that on the email as that was very insulting and did not engender any desire for me to try to work harder. Now, also, when they state overtime, the person in our area has been stating that the overtime is not available 4 hours after the time on the notice. They finally figured that one out :)

Anything over 40 hours is OT by LAW - FLSA they have us use a time clock

Cant screw with the time clock and if they do, they are in huge trouble...

Can anyone explain what good backlog reports are or what purpose they serve. Its not like we can pick the hospitals that have the most reports, or we can work overtime to clear out the accounts, or we can jump on the system to clear something out if it is not our appointed work schedule. What good are they? New TSM is constantly sending these meaningless reports out, that I can't understand because of all the abbreviations, and they are just taking time away from my typing ...

Just had a weird thing happen to me. On Tuesdays they typically send out Microsoft updates which are usually to see if you have any kind of virus on your computer. Usually, this only takes a few minutes to configure my computer and this time, I thought it never would stop. Honestly, it was at least an hour to configure my computer. I think something is wrong. I work for Transcend and there are intermittent times where I go 48 hours without getting a status update and then WHAM, I get the last 48 hours' worth, and there can be 15-20 status updates over those last 48 hours. One person told me it was my settings, but it's not, because I get them all other times and I get emails from others during the time when I don't get any from Transcend, and it's only from Transcend that this happens. I get sometimes up to 6-8 emails from my various TSMs on a daily basis with their "status/OTAT reports" constantly asking up to make it a "great day" and really work hard to get reports moving in my various accounts. Does anyone seriously read these things? Do they think we AREN'T working as hard or as fast we plan to? Exactly what incentive is there to put in any more effort than the status quo? We've been having late work for 4 days out of every week for awhile now with our TSM calling for OT constantly. The funny thing is, all the accounts that I'm familiar with that are late are ones that do not send overseas (as an MME, I know because I QA the ILPs). Do you think that these hospitals refuse to send overseas and that MModal is going to say that the work was late because of lack of qualified US MTs, and that they should consider sending offshore? ...
