TTS need info on this company - Ann

Has anyone worked here? I was offered a job and the pay is the highest i have seen in a long time.. over 5 cents for speech, almost 9 for regular (though we all know that regular dictations are decreasing). Any info appreciated.

The TLs ARE great. But watch out for the owner. Things go great for awhile, then you are abandoned. No work, stuck on crappy accounts where you can't make money, etc. Leaving there was the best thing I've done. Yes, I was happy too in the beginning until that all changed. I used to be one of the posters sticking up for them. Just be careful!

I 2nd this. God forbid you tell anyone there you are leaving and give notice, then the communication really goes to crappe in a handbasket. imho

I quit there this year. After getting more than 3 checks shorted I quit. I kept my line rate and they always wanted to shortened me even though I had proof. I would not recommend them to anyone.

but the schedule they wanted me to work was not one I wanted to do. I currently work Monday through Friday and do not have to adhere to a strict schedule, which is what I prefer (employee status) and do not have to work weekends. I cannot remember what their offer was, but was something like midday into the early evening and I had to work weekends. I said no thank you to that.

That wage sounds great to me - you will find good and bad with every company. for those already working there, do you make the 9 cpl and 5 cpl already or were you hired at a lesser wage? And do they give raises?

Are you an IC? That would be a low wage, as an employee it is good, and better than most these days. What hours are you working? Any weekends?

I have been there for more than a year and am not making even close to that. How does that happen? I have 25 plus years in all specialties and half the time now I am running out of work. Any insight you could provide me?

was there for 2 years and didn't make close to that. I also had many years of experience and my quality assurance reports were excellent. I left within the last year because I was running out of work a lot of the time and the work I was getting kept getting worse.

The owner and team leaders monitor this board and post information as if they are one of the MTs so don't believe everything you read.

I work for them currently. Love it there. Did they offer you a position on Escription or Dictaphone? They have both platforms. They pay more for Dictaphone. Good luck.

TTS is good to work for, but you must understand that even if you are IC, you will have a schedule and you must adhere to it, unless you've made arrangements ahead of time to flex on a certain day.

Yeah I wanted something more flexible.. I didnt accept at this point. the point that someone made about running out of work made me very concerned, as that was the reason I was looking for another job... I dont want to start all over again just to be in the same boat in 3 months.

I read the posts below on the difference between an IC and an employee. However, in applying to what was reported to be a "good company to work for" recently, I was told of the schedule I needed to be "willing" to work, as well as the rate I would paid, even though I thought it was low. Get paid not so well for VR work on time with small PTO paid for part-time, but accounts have chunks of good work suddenly removed from the queue as I am working and older, undesirable work left for "me," and am very disappointed.
