Any MModal advice would be appreciated - Cautiously optimistic

I would like to say this is not an attempt to bash Keystrokes, but an attempt to learn more from those more experienced with MModal.

Keystrokes is gradually transitioning to MModal. I am trying to be positive but it is becoming more and more difficult.

One of my main dictators has a less than 20% rate of SR being correct. I find it faster just to delete the whole job and do over. This is curently no problem until the pay rate drops.

Another doctor dictates notes as well as multiple letters. Changing templates constantly and adding addresses each time with "TO" and "CC" is very time consuming with very few characters. Does anyone know if there will be an easier/quicker way or if these will eventually be able to looked up?

I was wondering if anyone knew some of these answers. I was also hoping some MTs experienced with MModal could offer advice from their experiences.

your platform is what you work on, so unless that's improved the actual way you work may not change.

As for the amount of correction needed, you may see an improvement with new SR, but choosing to run SR-incompetent dictators through SR instead of having them transcribed is a company decision. They could always have removed them from SR, as many companies do, but didn't. Hopefully for your sake M*Modal will handle your dogs a bit better.

When they do backup, everything comes out wrong. It "learns" from transcribed reports and what I think is happening is if you should happen to be on an account where you have a lot of transcription being done by the "furiners" and they screw it up, then the drafts come back horrible. If you are lucky and work done by conscientious MLS, then you usually have no problems. Right now it seems to be in one of its "nothing will be the same as what is dictated modes".
I really think something could be done about it, but looking at it from the MModal side of it, why should they even try, they are going to get their money from the MTSO whether or not the drafts are good. After all, these are the brains that sold the MTSO beachfront property in the middle of the Saraha desert and they fell for it hook, line and sinker.

I am very fortunate in that where I work, most of our management people are very, very good about aggressively continuing to "train" the speech rec engine, and on some dictators, it is darn near perfect, so we can speed the audio files way up and fly through those drafts.

This includes quite a number of ESL dictators as well as native English speakers.

Some dictators, however, should never be placed on speech rec, and some managers cannot be convinced of the fact, no matter how many times we show them before-and-after documents that prove the speech rec engine is getting nowhere near 75 percent of it correct, which is the supposed threshold, and thus needs more training on that dictator.

In other words... the technology is actually very good; it's the people running the back end that are a total crapshoot.

(I say the technology is very good because of what I have seen it do with some of the dictators, that I never would have believed possible to be done by a machine.)

I have had only good experiences with TT account managers. They have always answered my emails promptly and been very willing to be flexible with my scheduliing. AD has always taken the time to make personal phone calls to MTs when more info is needed or something didn't go through the system, to make sure they get paid on time. My QA scores have been primarily 100%, the lowest something like 99.6 and very infrequently anything less than 100%. My QC scores are consistently 0% as I never send anything to QC.
