Their ads do not require previous experience as an MT, and you have to purchase a different foot pedal. Is this unusual?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Could be they're recruiting for their internship program - Jade

If they're not requiring prior experience, I might assume they're recruiting for their internship program which they charge $300-$400 for (if memory serves) and don't guarantee a job at the end.
Then again, they may have an account that will allow for training newbies, so it may be worth checking out. Just a heads up, last I heard they were having some severe communication problems and it wasn't uncommon to wait for several days, even weeks sometimes, to hear back from managers and/or IT people, if you're lucky enough to hear at all.

I passed all testing and now am up for an interview with Chronicle and was hoping for some more input on company. I see some posts, but older ones and would like anyone who might currently be working for them regarding lines, pay, work available, etc. I am currently with a company, SoftScript, and really need to get out, but do not want to go to another company just as bad. Thanks. ...
Does anyone work for or has anyone heard of Sandia Medical Transcription out of Albuquerque, NM? They call themselves the “Internet Dictation Service for Traditional Catholic Doctors” and their website states they “serve doctors, regardless of religion, who only perform moral medical procedures.”
It sounds like they only do straight transcription (no SR) and only hire Independent Contractors.
Anyone have any insight into this company? Any information would b ...
Have looked in older posts, but there seems to be more than one Inscribe. I'm looking for info on the South Carolina company. The usual: pay scale, how are they to work for, etc. Have downloaded their application and testing material and it seems pretty cut and dry as to what they want. But before I wade through all the transcription testing, would love to hear some current reviews.
Thanks. ...
I've noticed more and more companies putting "parameters" on their definition of an IC and I'm wondering if anyone here knows how InScribe works. My schedule is unpredictable and I don't want to be boxed into something I can't stick to. Thanks. ...
anybody know anything about Inscribe...I heard they hire newbies and no matter how good you are, you can never pass their test...any truth to that rumor? ...
I see Inscribe has a permanent ad at the top of the MT Stars page and also Job Seekers. I know they hire all the time, but I was wondering if anyone has recently gone to work for them and how they are now. They say they are very busy and offer positions/training as remote scribes, which does not interest me. I just want straight typing, even if it is only 7 cpl. With all of the qualified text I have in a day at 1 cpl, this would be a blessing! Really bad when after ...
Does anyone know anything about this company Inscribe? They have "blast rooms" like chat rooms I guess where you can connect with other employess and also have them listen to a dictation if you are stuck on a word. I have never heard of them. Wondering if anyone here has??????? Thanks! ...
I was considering testing with them and was wondering how they are as a company, what they pay, etc. Positives and negatives? Thanks! I have seen older posts but nothing current (unless I just completely missed it). ...
I've been using an old version(4.3) with the OK of the company I transcribe for. But I'm now having so many technical issues that I need to install the upgrade of 4.97.394.
A previous upgrade required the use of the InScribe internal player. I tried this, bought 2 different foot pedals, and neither one worked for me, as both interfered with my expansions.
One pedal I tried was the Start-Stop. If I was in the process of starting or stopping play at the same time I wa ...
EMDAT INSCRIBE USERS
Can someone give me some feedback on how user friendly the Inscribe transcription platform is?
Does it have a good spellchecker?
If your internet connection drops do you lose your report.
Can you use PC Shorthand with it?
Does it have a good voice player?
Can you slow the player speed down for superfast dictators?
Compatible with Infinity USB foot pedal?
Are you able to be productive on this platform? ...
I just installed this on my computer. Wow, I was dumfounded. I have trained to learn Escription, DocQScribe, Pscribe and Chartnet. I really don't think I am that stupid to learn a new platform, but this has to be the most complicated program I have ever seen. I did not give up right away -- that is not in my nature. But after struggling for about 2 hours, I finally gave up. Honestly if they tried, I don't think the maker of this program could have ma ...
I wonder if any companies anymore both big and little appreciate their MTs for what they do, if they are high producers, good quality and in the case of an IC work a good dependable schedule for them. I get the feeling that they just think oh well they can all be replaced with all these MTs out and about looking for jobs. I never saw so many hits on jobs as I have seen lately. I dont know how anyone ever gets a job unless there are a lot of underqualified people out there looki ...
I ercently started with a company and posted prevously about how the recruiter had sent me a greeting card welcoming me to the company. In addition, I also received a greeting card from the person who trained me when I started with the company. I got up this morning (Thanksgiving) and had receieved a Thanksgiving greeting card from the company, stating how thankful they were to have me as a part of their team. In today's market, I thought that was a nice personal touch. ...
I'm having on H*** of a time with my dentist's office. They have set me up for partials; lots of impressions and bringing me in for a final fitting. I've coughed up $683, as they said this would be my portion after the insurance coverage. Apparently they sent a fax asking Aetna about my insurane coverage, even giving them the ADA code for the procedure and getting a "yes" for coverage. Now....come to find out the info they requested from Aetna was NOT a "pr ...
I have had only good experiences with TT account managers. They have always answered my emails promptly and been very willing to be flexible with my scheduliing. AD has always taken the time to make personal phone calls to MTs when more info is needed or something didn't go through the system, to make sure they get paid on time. I'm sure they share our stress over the accounts going to EPIC. I just wanted them to know they are appreciated for all their hard wo ...
My QA scores have been primarily 100%, the lowest something like 99.6 and very infrequently anything less than 100%. My QC scores are consistently 0% as I never send anything to QC. I work my schedule without exception. Even when there is no work, I remain logged in and ready to work. My work is excellent as I have been transcribing for a very long time. I sent my TSM an email that I was resigning. The reply was "I'm sorry to hear that you are planning on resigning." I was not planning on ...
Anyone have any experience/knowledge of Inscribe.us? I am about to get offered a job with them for either straight transcrition or VR editing? Their line rate seems to be very good for both. ...
I would like to say this is not an attempt to bash Keystrokes, but an attempt to learn more from those more experienced with MModal.
Keystrokes is gradually transitioning to MModal. I am trying to be positive but it is becoming more and more difficult.
