Are we appreciated - PAMT

I wonder if any companies anymore both big and little appreciate their MTs for what they do, if they are high producers, good quality and in the case of an IC work a good dependable schedule for them. I get the feeling that they just think oh well they can all be replaced with all these MTs out and about looking for jobs. I never saw so many hits on jobs as I have seen lately. I dont know how anyone ever gets a job unless there are a lot of underqualified people out there looking. Got me. Cant figure it.

Heck, IMO, I was never appreceated at any job. Was just - a number/worker. None have SM

Certainly opening employee pools to national-size - and beyond, means employers

don't have to worry about drawing from small local pools and holding onto the preferred ones by giving them their strokes as needed. Appreciated more then or just individually needed less now? Human nature hasn't changed any.

to cost-of-living raises), Christmas bonuses, insurance that actually COVERED things (rather than denying EVERYTHING), even special employee events like barbecues, holiday feasts, etc. Another previous employer (non-MT secretarial job) used to make a point of acknowledging my hard work.

Depends on your supervisor. One very very good one who really cared was let go last year I believe. There are still several others who do go out of their way to try to support and give compliments to their MTs, but I do not think the newer ones do.

the ways he/she makes my work flow smooth. Competence directly above is worth far more to me than a screen full of smiles and more strokes than an octopus could manage.

What IS all this needy appreciation stuff, though? If these distant strangers do me the good turn of hiring me, bother me minimally afterward, and I make good money, believe me that's enough. I strongly recommend self reliance as--apparently--very good for satisfaction with one's work. (I also suspect correlation with income level if that were checked into.)

I have had only good experiences with TT account managers. They have always answered my emails promptly and been very willing to be flexible with my scheduliing. AD has always taken the time to make personal phone calls to MTs when more info is needed or something didn't go through the system, to make sure they get paid on time. My QA scores have been primarily 100%, the lowest something like 99.6 and very infrequently anything less than 100%. My QC scores are consistently 0% as I never send anything to QC. Does anyone work for or has anyone heard of Sandia Medical Transcription out of Albuquerque, NM?
