Very good company! Recently talked to another MT who waited a year to get a job with Opti-Script and she is very happy she waited. I've been there almost 5 years and have no plans to leave (unless they get bought by MQ or one of the biggies). They treat MTs well, always pay on time with pretty good rates and decent benefits, seldom run out of work, and provide equipment. Their management are all former MTs and are very fair and easy to work with. Quality and schedule expectations are high. It's by far the best company I've worked for in over 20 years. All management are former MTs and know what they're doing. Good accounts and you don't jump around all over the place. Very happy!

I agree with MT4life, although I have not been there as long. They state clearly their expectations and tell you what they will do, and they stick to it. I have not run out of work. Even though my starting pay was 0.075 a line less than what I made elsewhere, I quickly came up to speed and surpassed what I was making per hour at the other place. Lines seem to add up fast.

The account I have is not easy, but the account specs cover everything and they patiently help you along as you learn the ropes.

I too hope to make this my last MTSO.

but then again, I do not even know if I will be offered a position. Like everyone else, I would like to find a "home." Where I am at now is definitely not it.

I would like to work for them, I'm actually on a waiting list. From what I understand, pay is based on the difficulty of the account but they do have weekend and shift differential pay. The benefits seemed pretty good. I like that they are all former MTs.

Actually the pay is pretty good because they pay for headers and footers and spaces. Plus they pay extra for evenings and nights and weekends and CMT. And acute care work pays more than clinic. They don't play games with line counts and are very above-board. The VP (I think she's the CEO now as the former one left) is straight as an arrow.

I've heard the average pay is more than $15/hour and some make as much as the high $20's/hour. I use Instant Text and that helps a lot.

No company is perfect and it's obviously not a good fit for everyone, but I hope it doesn't change until after I retire.

The ad said level 5, whatever that is, so sounds like the pay would be decent. sm - LTMT

I did that and did not have to wait long to be called.

What the other poster said about pay I found to be true. With the headers, footers, spaces and shift differential, I make out pretty well. I too use Instant Text which is an awesome productivity enhancer. They supply it for you if you dont already have it.

I tested with Opti-Script less than 2 months ago and I was told that I passed, but that there was a waiting list to be hired and that they would contact me as soon as they had openings. I just noticed that they posted an ad on Monday for acute care MTs "needed immediately", but I have not heard from them.
