You are helping the devil train the gatekeepers of Hades!

Especially if you are an acquisition employee, you must understand your purpose is to train the front-end voice wreck for the clinic or hospital that sold your soul. They off-shore EVERYTHING left over as soon as possible, so being out of work is a condition you should expect as long as you continue to work for the very people the hospital just sold you to.

But for those of us who work with this mess every day, it doesn't get better. I have dictators who say the same thing in every report and speech recognition, Dragon, which is evidently our speech engine, soon gets a mind of its own and starts to change what the dictator is saying. "IT" begins to think it knows better than the dictator and so we have our jobs - as long as the dictator says "Estimated blood loss" and the speech engine puts in "specimens" - we will have a job......

...everything you read. Read it again. They off-shore YOUR work, no matter what, eventually. Please, that was not typed but for any other purpose than to shake some of you out of your naivete!

The software does eventually get retired after you are fully integrated over into ExText, as many are, then you are just thrown into a large pool of extraneous people to be Fiesa'd into quitting or a justification for your termination!

Unfortunately, we do not have our jobs, but our - India "partners" will in this case.

I suspect you are new to this as the "you will have a job because ...." was all the rage a few years back and most likely what the MT schools are still selling.

Accept unemployment if offered by your employer. You will make as much, you won't get stressed into puking each day before or after your shift, and you can use that time to search for a real job. Just in case you were wondering what options you had.

Oh, another option might be to see if your facility has anything else open and transfer into that for now and then transition out if you need to.

Just do not get suckered in by Nuance whatever you do.

I am going to start applying to several to see if it is worth the commute or not. That crazy representative showed us our pay scale. One of the MTs ran out of the room crying.

Golden Chick is opening a new restaurant in our area and I probably would be better off there. Maybe I can learn how to make those delicious yeast rolls.

Does anyone ever get hired from these companies who are continually posting help wanted ads?!?!? I have applied to at least 15 companies posting ads for help only to sit here waiting for at least 5 weeks, so far, for an answer to any for which I applied! I have been a MT for 30 yrs. I had to stop working 4 yrs ago due to health issues, then finally had 2 surgeries which pretty much took care of the problem.
