What's the starting hourly rate for QA at Nuance? - nm

...I believe they were paid at least $15/hr approximately 3 years ago. It may be more now.

A friend of mine started a couple months ago and she started at 14.50 but that may vary. She has 14 years' experience in MT.

for them, I was hired by Transcend at $16 an hour; this was about 2 weeks before Transcend officially became a part of Nuance (around April 2012). My pay rate stayed the same until 01/01/13, when they had notified us that not only was our PTO being cut, but pay rate being cut to $12 an hour. That was when I left.

About 7 or 8 months of absolute BS, topped off by extra job duties being added, along with everything as usual to keep track of....I was all too happy to go back to straight MT and make less, but be so much less stressed out and actually not dread signing on.

I think the pay depended on company of origin - I heard from someone else they started at $13.50/hour around the same time with different company that was eaten up by Nuisance.

Also, how much experience do Account Manager/Shift Manager types have? Last week I asked what you all thought was a fair hourly rate for a one-doctor clinic MT. I went to the interview on Tuesday. The job ad was for a "medical records transcriptionist." Shall we make our guesses? Wonder if the new pay scale will be an across the board percentage reduction in rates or will everyone be moved to the bottom rate of 8 and 4? What about the people recently hired who make 8 and 4? Will they go even lower?
