Oh goody. I can barely make minimum wage most days to begin with, and as of today minimum wage in my state has gone up by 75 cents. MUP here I come! I can't wait for all the e-mails from my TSM telling me I need to be more productive and that I'm getting too much MUP. I have to do about 250 lines extra every day now to make the new min wage. Why is it fair that the base pay, if we will now be paid at minimum wage, not discriminatory because some states pay more and others less? After all, we are all doing the same job. A $15.00 minimum wage would equate to 375 lines per hour at .04 per line. That's 3000 lines a day for an 8 hour day! The best I have ever done was 2700 lines editing in an 8 hour day and that was only once and someplace where I had been doing the same doctors for 6 years. Hi: I have worked for the same hospital for 12.5 years, so there is a lot of loyalty there. I live in a southern state in the USA.
