TOP 10 REASONS TO DISLIKE NUANCE - Can anyone add more reasons?

1. Low pay.

2. Fiesa with no rhyme or reason for scores.

3. Too many managers/mini managers with rambling corporate speak emails.

4. Rambling client specifics on different accounts all subject to interpretation.

5. Client specifics not uniform.

6. Spark. People you are told to contact are unavailable. Lists should be alphabetized.

7. Incompetent support staff.

8. Bad VR which does not learn through correction. Same mistakes over and over and over.

9. No yearly or cost of living raises.

10. Unobtainable incentive bonus. (See Fiesa.)

Can anyone think of any more reasons to dislike Nuance?

How about, they are just flat-out underhanded? As soon as you are close to increasing your pay by working harder or close to reaching bonus, they change the rules up so that it's impossible? They change your accounts so that you have to start over?

Nuance has no regard for MTs needing to earn a living. Dislike is a mild word to describe how I feel about the company. DESPISE is more accurate.

My biggest reason would be - not allowing time off without pay

I think my family/friends don't even believe me: "OK, being a part-timer I will earn 30 hours of PTO for the year, which needs to cover all time off including holidays. Yes, if I'm scheduled to work the holiday, I must work it unless I use some of my PTO hours to take the day. (No, those hours will not be replenished in the PTO fund). And there's a good chance there will be little or no work available to do on that holiday, and you will receive nothing for adjusting your plans to be available. The one thing you CANNOT do is say, "I'd like to just take the day without pay." (IMHO, they'd have plenty of takers for the holidays if they offered anything to be "on call" (in case there are no "lines and a quarter" to be earned). I'd have no problem with low PTO hours or even no paid holidays if they would just let you take time off without pay. As it is, it's not even enough for a week (unless you work every hour of every holiday and never take another hour during the year).

when I was with Focus before it was absorbed by Nuance. I may have to part company with Nuance later this year over this issue because I have some "must take" trips coming up. Perhaps this is for the best in the long run. . . (It will force me to look for a life sustaining job.)

I was told that UPTO (unpaid time off) was a "perk" that did not carry over from Transcend. My friends do get a kick out of this being called a "perk," (even if we DID receive it). Thank goodness for the other perks. Oh yea, what are they again?

Reasons to dislike Nuance - FEDUP FINGERS

I have a HUGE reason! I am having to work my day off in order to achieve my 40 hours since there is never any work. I am sick and tired of flexing my time. I am sending resumes to several companies. I am leaving Nuance as soon as I have a decent offer. I seriously am considering not even giving 2 weeks notice because I can't afford to stay here another day. I have worked for some good companies over the years but this is the absolute worst! Beware!

I am just curious as to why some choose to Dislike a post when it is another just voicing an opinion, venting or just asking a question. To me this is a place to communicate with other transcriptionists since most of us work at home and others in our lives really don't understand what we are talking about. Information gets thrown at you through training, and it doesn't all absorb right away, and you don't know what you're doing for a while. i hate that feeling of not being confident working with the software. It may be state to state also but let's say you had a religious reason for not working saturdays or sundays and they said to you "if you work sundays and saturdays you will have work" but you were not hired to work these dates as you stated when you were hired it was because of religious reasons, can you get unemployment? I don't get the email with the FAQ's about 6.1 says that the new physician look up (that apparently they are getting a lot of complaints from MTs about) is because of a security issue with choosing the wrong doctor. Well, I could understand THAT, but I don't see how this new slower way makes any difference in that regard....you could still JUST as easily choose the wrong doctor this way too. According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

I thought they were 2 different services. Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows. All the small companies have been merged I guess. I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR. Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...

Does anyone know why the ad says "No inquiries from overseas" when they obviously offshore the work? Anyone reading that would incorrectly assume they do not offshore. I was reading an article in the newspaper that a journalist was talking about a few days ago regarding the hospital outsourcing to the Web/Nuance, and the spokesperson for the hospital said in the article that the company only employs US MTs. ...

If Webmedx does away with or changes their recently advertised "PRODUCTION BASED INCENTIVE" bonus and adopts the Nuance quality based bonus then this change may be considered by quite a few WMX employees as yet another cut in pay.
