I made $6.75 an hour today. - 7th child

I worked 7.18 hours today. I at breakfast at my desk, lunch at my desk. I got to transcribe 2 reports which came up blank for some reason? So, I just did the math, made 6.75 an hour. It makes me sick. Merry Christmas CEO and upper staff, hope the ghosts of Christmas past,present and future visit you tonight, not that it would do any good. To the rest of you, who are in the trenches like me MERRY CHRISTMAS, MAY THE NEW YEAR BRING US A BETTER LIFE WHERE WE ARE ACTUALLY APPRECIATED AND COMPENSATED BY OUR WORTH, NOT BY CORPORATE GREED! Bless you all!

It will take me hours to get my line count, and I'm sitting here physically sick thinking how my kids are going to react to what very little Christmas will be under the tree tomorrow morning. (Went from Nuance to another bad company recently.) :(

Are you questioning why someone at Nuance made so little. Is that not the norm for Nuance? It certainly was in my case. Could it be poor dictators, fear of not being perfect enough for Nuance, OOW 3/4s of your schedule? You decide but do not have your head in the sand.

This 14+ yr MLS struggled to make $10/hr, most often I'd hover around $9 beating myself up along the way because I know I'm much better than $9. I left last month, a year after Nuance took over my company, who I'd been with almost 8 yrs. I'm looking & contemplating what comes next.

This is working for an MTSO who only hires full-time employees, but yet again NJA most of the day today. We do not have to punch a time clock, but is this really legal? This company may "route" you jobs at any time of day and they require you to be "available" from 7 AM to 5 PM, whether there is work or not. If the work is routed to you though, you best be there (available) to do the work or else you get the nasty grams from the owner. Again, IS THIS LEGAL? ...

My transcription job was always paid by the hour. I was laid off and they recently offered me a temp position with them making $12.00 an hour. I was also offered a positon that pays 7.5 and 3.5 cpl. The $12.00 is employee status for a small local company I worked for over 9 years. The other is an IC position. Do you think I would make more with the $12.00 an hour or the per line production rate? Well, I don't know if the pool our area was sent because of NJA is affecting that regions MTs, but I for one want to say thank you God for sending me some absolutely marvelous, clear and concise easy dictation!!!! No. Leave, call in sick, take all day to do one report, send jobs through without editing, walk off, stop work. Plan ahead for you next job, and that's a smart thing to do, obviously. I have been sending things in and actually getting some changes made here and there. If we all did it maybe we could help ourselves out at least a little bit. I've worked at a hospital doing transcription and getting an hourly wage, and I've also done transcription at home. At-home was not a good experience for me. I about went bankrupt, but the good thing is that I have more experience now. I'm trying to decide whether to go back to a hospital and get an hourly pay or work from home again...
