I worked 7.18 hours today. I at breakfast at my desk, lunch at my desk. I got to transcribe 2 reports which came up blank for some reason? So, I just did the math, made 6.75 an hour. Does anyone know of an MT company that employs full-time workers that are employees rather than independent contractors that pays 4 cents/line for SR editing and 8 cents/line for "regular" transcription from the very beginning once they hire you (rather than at Nuance where you have to "earn it" to go from 3.75 cents/line to 4 cents/line? How about 5 cents/line for SR editing and 10 cents/linge for regular transcription? Or is there no such thing? ...

My transcription job was always paid by the hour. I was laid off and they recently offered me a temp position with them making $12.00 an hour. I was also offered a positon that pays 7.5 and 3.5 cpl. ASR was doing better a little while back now it is way screwed up again...Which means they hired people that dont know what they are doing..They need to make it about a year or so on new hires before they go through the filter and screw it up..And you would think at the very least there would be a filter to keep misspelled words from printing out,,,Just my opinion ...
