this just the beginning? Accounts we know aren't just "slow," but work is poof, totally gone? What is going on here? Any ideas?

[ In Reply To ..]Have you ever heard of TAT? If TAT is not being met exactly on time, they freak out. Some teams just cannot keep up with TAT for one reason for another. They hire more people which can contribute to "dry up" and if the new hires cannot keep up, it goes to India. So as a result, it is feast or famine literally. This is the scenario IMHO. They just send updates saying if you need work to email and they will route us some. I've been here almost 9 years and this is not the normal feast or famine situation. Something it definitely different.

Oh, yes I do... all 25 in my region and the other CCMs - accounts in my region, and today

Not a rambling at all. On an average day, I might get 2 reports from the same facility before I am off to the next again.
Out of curiosity, as horrific as that sounds, do you have to log out - and back in for each account?

With my 4 accounts at Nuance now, I have to log out and back in to EditScript for each account, which can take up to 2 minutes per, depending. And if there's nothing in the next, I have to move on to the 3rd, ad nauseam. So I am potentially wasting up to 30 minutes or more a day sometimes just logging in and out to find work, thus also impacting my overall lines per hour while still signed in to Webclock.

[ In Reply To ..]I used to only get the same 6 hospitals, which was bad enough, but then our region got clinics, and there must be 15 different clinics and hospitals in that grouping and have all of those now too, as well as another grouping that we just obtained that has at least 5 or 6 hospitals within it. Then, for the past 4 weeks or so, I have been doing the other CCMs accounts in our region because there has been no work. Each of these clinics and hospitals have a different client profile. It is impossible to do, but they are making us do it.

In this case, it sounds like India is the *first* resort - after acquiring new accounts.

Yest, OS is 1st resort. Some need US help at first to firm up - formatting,etc but anything that can SM

Then as accts stabilize and VR gets trained to them, more and more will disappear. Only thing we do is horrible dictators and those few facilities that specify no OS. However, even that, IMO, quickly changes when MTSO starts telling facility their dictation costs can go down if they agree to OS.
I gave notice and have 1 more week. My TSM told - that accts are indeed moving OS. My new TL

[ In Reply To ..]My very large account had been not as busy as it used to be this past year, unless it was a Friday evening or a weekend. I don't know if some of the work got sent to India or they just hired more people. There was usually enough work to keep busy during my shift, though. Then the account moved to Epic. The work was obliterated. This was one of Transcend's largest accounts before the Nuance merger and now it's peanuts. I don't think this is Nuance's fault. It is just the reality of hospitals moving to Epic and the way the charts are done is changing dramatically.

Since PTers don't earn PTO, how do you handle taking days off? I'm considering a schedule that will involve most weekends (to supplement my FT job). While I don't need to work as much as they require (20 hours), I do need a little extra spending money. Will taking off a weekend day or 2 a month be a problem? As you transition to Nuance, you will have training jobs going to QC. This will count against your QC percentage and affect your ability to earn any increased increment in line rate based on your quality. I also was concerned about the statement in the handbook indicating that even as PT we had to put in an 8 hour day on the weekend. I contacted the appropriate person who informed me that the polices in the handbook are directed to Transcend MLSs that are hired “the normal way,” and not to the MDI MLSs who are coming in via the merger. I'm just wondering. I've been with Transcend going on three years now and have never made my minimum lines for part-time. I've always just worked my shift. It was never an issue of me hitting my $450 or not. Now all of a sudden my job is in jeopardy because I'm not hitting it.
