out who to make MM provide you what you need, you need to be working for someone else. Ok, now let's hear it. All the excuses why you cant leave, why you dont take responsiblity for your own life/actions, why it is MM fault you are here with no work.

[ In Reply To ..]And, if at all possible, if they can prove it being your fault, they can deny unemployment (i.e., not taking different shifts or working on high volume times, or nitpicking QA). They will let you sit there doing nothing forever just so they do not have to pay unemployment.
MM doesnt lay off, it fires, and that very seldom. Give up on - being laid off, will NEVER happen. nm

No matter were we look for an MT job, MM will buy you up. After all, it is MM intentions to get as many accounts as they can. Always been that for years and years by putting the lowest bids in.

I quickly learned what everyone on here was talking about...It's been nearly 2 years to the date that I got that AWFUL Email telling me the Q OWNED us. I've since moved on to a non-MT field with a former employer. I miss working from home some days, I miss being an MT, but I have some bad habits like eating and paying the bills. I browse the job boards sometimes, just for old time's sake, and find some that sound good (well, MM sounds good on a job listing.) However, I will never dare work for an MTSO again, MM is gobbling up everything in sight, and I would live with a constant fear of getting one of "those" Emails again. No way can I go through that again - I was fortunate the first time and was able to get out with my sanity and credit score intact! Good luck to you all!

Of course not. It is their fault they stay and put up with - it. And of course, you should be SM

Yes, let us talk about the new times! Just about every company gives out raises each year and they do not cut your pay 60%, but instead has increased it by 30% in the last 30 years.

Her checks were on time at first, then 1 day later, 2 days later, 3 days later, etc. I went on vacation for 1 week. I decided to look how many hours left in PTO and it was deducted today because I used some PTO on this paycheck that should have been deposited in my account yesterday morning. I think that is good news? Payroll doing their job? Maybe it means paychecks should be in our accounts in pending mode which should be deposited first and then deductions taken out next. I have typed for orthopods, general practioners, neurologists, dermatologists, and have done 2 years of acute care (both in-house and at home). After transplanting to TX and losing my full-time job in MI, I've been searching for that "perfect" transcription job. As soon as I start playing the audio, I can't concentrate and I start falling asleep at my desk. I literally have to get up every 15 minutes to keep from snoozing at my desk.
