need to vent, late paychecks - iluvmydogs

I just need to vent.  I am an IC who is supposed to get paid every week by my employer.  Her checks were on time at first, then 1 day later, 2 days later, 3 days later, etc.  I went on vacation for 1 week.  During that time frame, she even emailed me to see if I was providing my usual weekend coverage.  She never replies to my IM, e-mail or phone calls.  Her cell does not allow me to leave a message, and now she has a new home phone number that I do not even know.  Have been with her for about 6 months.  When I had not heard from her for about a week, I got worried and emailed other employees to see if they were experience the same problems.  They were and apparently HER boss (yes, she has a boss, a reputable transcription company) got down on her.  I need to be sure that she knew I was going out of town for a week, since I love the account I was working on, and needed to know that they would be covered in my absence.  Well, since that, she has been unbearable.  I think she is withholding my checks and owes me over $900 and acts like it's my Christmas money.  No, it's my *#$*(@ bill money you stupid *#2$$*.   Since being "fussed" by the boss, she got so angry at me that she pulled me off the account during the week and left me with the crappy weekend shift.  Now, I just quit a full-time hospital job with full benefits and direct deposit every week to work for her.  She promised tons of new accounts coming on board, and this never happened, and she never followed through.  I so unhappy with her right now.

I am afraid to speak up to her until she pays me at least the 2 big checks, because I am afraid that she will continue to not send my check.  She has me by the balls, if I had any.

Thank God I start Monday with a very reputable company that people seem to be very happy to work for.  I am very pleased and very grateful to be starting my new job.  Well, thanks for letting me vent and I know it's easy to say tell her you will not work for her until she pays you, etc., but remember I left my FT stable job to work for her, and until I had something else, I had to keep my mouth shut and kiss butt.   Well, have a wonderful day.  It's another weekend of sitting at the computer on the weekend with no jobs to transcribe, but hopefully, this torture will not last much longer.
