So, since we have gone to nearly all ASR, and have taken a pay cut of 40% basically, I think it's time that burden be shared by all employees equally. I think it's time we hear that ALL employees have received a decrease in pay over what they made say 5 years ago. I will even be fair, since we have the CHANCE to make it up in production supposedly, and say just cut salaried employees pay by 25% instead of 40%, just so we can all be in this together.
Before anybody bashes me and tells me to quit whining and do my job, let me just say I have always gotten high audits, have always worked my shift, which is second shift, worked weekends for my whole 10+ years employment up until I went on second shift, I do not abandon jobs, have always had high work ethics.
And yes, I am working very hard at getting out of this profession, not easy at my age to start over, but I am working on it daily.
But this is just not right. No part of it is right. The stress is just off the charts with all the changes.
This paycheck is just a painful reminder, it is time to move on.
I hope anybody starting out in this profession now is not the main breadwinner or it will be a very tough road ahead.
God Bless Us All.
