Whatever my count is, too bad. With the sorry excuse for ASR that we given to edit, let the chips lay where they might. Whatever my line count is, I am doing the best I can - as confirmed by the fact I have next to no nonproductive time showing on my statistics.

If I don't meet their requirements, I am pretty sure I will be the first to know. Why would I freak myself out hourly as to if I did better or worse than the last hour? I get the worst dictators ever, never take a break, seldom have to look things up, and do the best damn job I can. If that's not good enough, tough beans.

I did actually look at it. You have to log in to DocQmanage and get your line counts for SR and straight typing. Then you have to log into your time card and get your hours. Then you have to log into Shaw's website and enter in all the information. I know he claims it is user friendly but so is my calculator and much faster with less logins.

If he actually wants to help (but you know he does not) then he should get his IT people together to put everything under one login and one website. Until then this is just his snide way of informing those at the lower threshold of acceptable that there is now no excuse for not hitting your line minimums. He has provided a tool to check your line counts! But of course you had better do it while you are not working because you wouldn't want to get dinged for inactive time.

However, apparently they needed to find somebody a job to do. Somebody who has no clue what we do, has no idea what actual tool would be helpful and apparently thought we were too stupid to use a calculator. Oh whatever in the world did we do before this line calculator tool? (dripping with sarcasm)The sad this is whoever came up with this idea probably got a promotion and a raise.

I actually found this really helpful. As an MME who bounces around on 40-60 accts and does ASR, QA, and straight transcribing it was very helpful. I can see why MTs would not find it useful though.

I'm thinking of applying to M-Modal part time. Are you "required" to use Shaw? If not, I will not use it. It sounds cumbersome and unnecessary.

I can only work evenings and weekends. Will they let me set my schedule. To get 24 hours, I can work 8 hours both weekend evenings and two 4-hour evenings.

This is not a negative complaint, it is a valid question. I work for ImedX in Chartscript. I have noticed when I run my line count I see a total for Transcribed and a line count for Edited, but when I look in details there are MULTIPLE JOBS that do not have a work type. Does this mean these lines are not being included in my totals? This is a potential huge problem of underpayment, yet when I inquired to management on several occasions, I got no response whatsoever. I've spent days trying out "customizable" toolbars for quick access to links for MT, such as rxlist, acronyms, FDA drugs, doctor finder, etc. None of the toolbars I have tried have allowed customized links except Yahoo which is loaded with bugs and keeps deleting itself requiring re-creation every day or so. Has anyone found a good way to create one-click links while working other than the Bookmarks? Thanks for any ideas. ...

I have worked so hard all day, have next to nil inactive time, and still, barely the minimum line count. I would especially like him to do the last report with the horrible scratchy sound with the doctor alternatively blasting out my ears and not talking into the phone, and the horrible output.
