Irregularity in line tracking - Lookingforananswer

This is not a negative complaint, it is a valid question. I work for ImedX in Chartscript. I have noticed when I run my line count I see a total for Transcribed and a line count for Edited, but when I look in details there are MULTIPLE JOBS that do not have a work type. Does this mean these lines are not being included in my totals? This is a potential huge problem of underpayment, yet when I inquired to management on several occasions, I got no response whatsoever. They did not even acknowledge me. Has anyone else noticed this? Where are these lines going. I am talking about over 100 reports back to October 1. If anyone has seen the same problem or knows what causes this, I would be very grateful. I have resigned and will not be working for them long, but I don't want to leave wondering if they have found a way to skim lines from hard working people.
Email/call them everyday. Why should they respond if you are not making - their lives miserable by bothering them? SM
[ In Reply To ..]Eventually, I would just slip in that a call to an attorney will be your next step. Also, get copies of those line counts you are looking at so you can SHOW someone what you see. Copy onto a blank Word document or do a screen shot.
I would also keep a list of job numbers as you complete them and mark with a q if you had to send to qa.

The last communication to them I made it clear a wage dispute attorney would be involved if they do not respond by my last day, 12/31. Still nothing. Not from my manager, HR, payroll or the CEO. This makes me even more convinced something is amiss. If there was a simple explanation, I would have heard by now, don't you think? I am really looking for other people with the same issue to bring to the attorney with me. There is strength in numbers. If you work in Chartscript and see this happening to you, PLEASE let me know! My plan is to submit an invoice for what I consider to be a missing line. As an independent contractor if I submit an invoice and they refuse to pay, we have grounds for a legal discussion.

I do have some benefits with the VR job, but not good enough to even take them on right now. After 3 months I will start accruing PTO up to 12 days a year. Is it worth it? I was just hired on with a company to do strictly VR. I am only going to be working part time so about 4 hours a day. I am wondering from those who do VR what kind of line production should I shoot for in 4 hours of work? What is the normal VR line count for part time? When a company states a line rate for a "65 printable character line" does that mean they do not pay for spaces? I saw an ad saying they pay the highest in the business, which was about 8.5 cents for 65 printable character line. That to me says without spaces, as it is not a printable character, so that would be a horrible rate surely not one of the best in the business. Wonder why there is no respect for our thumbs !!!! ...
