One of his tips was: Try something new - Exchange your foot pedal for a keyboard shortcut to toggle your audio! Hmmmm... I don't find a keyboard shortcut to toggle the audio on and off. I only know/find the shortcuts for toggling speed and for toggling tone. I have checked F1. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the audio on/off toggle keyboard shortcut is? I really doubt there is one. Double checking for confirmation. Thanks

pretty well, and even rewinds the audio. Unfortunately doesn't work well enough to make me not hate MM.

I use the keyboard shortcuts. My foot pedal died about a year ago in the middle of a shift. I had to start using the keyboard shortcuts out of necessity. It took some getting used to, but they are fine.

CTRL spacebar = play/stop audio
CTRL , = rewind
CTRL . = fast forward

I believe there is a way to set your audio to rewind more or less when you stop it.

I hope you find this helpful!! In my opinion, they can give us all the tricks they want, but at the end of the day, they need to not have ASR making the dumb mistakes it makes.

I did have a very frank conversation with my quality coach a few weeks ago. She asked if there was anything I thought would make my day more productive. I said we need to bring back the straight typing. I get bored when I read for 8 hours a day. My mind wanders and then I am not productive. I know it will not amount to anything, but she asked and I answered.

Not only that. I actually type faster than I edit - This wole ASR thing is a joke

It will NEVER be good enough as a stand alone and if we can type it faster and with more accuracy, why on earth continue on with the farce of ASR?

Yes, I know, they invested a bazillion dollars in it and cannot admit it is a colossal failure.

I have worked so hard all day, have next to nil inactive time, and still, barely the minimum line count. I would especially like him to do the last report with the horrible scratchy sound with the doctor alternatively blasting out my ears and not talking into the phone, and the horrible output. Ha, ha - spend a day in our shoes. What a challenge :) I doubt he is up for the challenge, though. ...

Something new I have noticed about several different companies is how they give you a set limit of reports when first starting out...Anyway, we are paid based on production.
