My take on this conference call. - I was too mad earlier to post.

Let me get this straight!  There are still more MTs in-house than outsourced.  We all need to apply to hospitals and clinics.  I know we might get bought out, but geesh...  at least you could make more money with better benefits for even 6 months or more before MMmodal will GETCHA YA!

The company stated they are trying to UNDERSTAND OUR FEEDBACK AND COMPREHEND WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO SAY??  ARE YOU KIDDING ME????  Company created an MT Task Force to represent our interests and voice of an MT?????  Well, whoever was in charge is NOT DOING A GOOD JOB!!  Or not listening or basically the reality is NOT COMPREHENDING!


Yet we are to be the best.  Best in technology and service and lowest price wins the business.  YET WE ARE TO BE TREATED LIKE A COMPUTER OR A ROBOT AND BE MORE PRODUCTIVE!!!!!   Along with no incentive or pay increases.

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! 

Oh.... Amy did answer the question WILL OUR TAKE HOME PAY BE THE HIGHEST IT WAS BEFORE and her answer blantely was NO AND THAT IS BEING FRANK AND THE TRUE ANSWER..... NO!!!!!!!

I don't get why everyone gets so mad and surprised by anything here. Unless you are new to the company, nothing should surprise anyone. Nothing has changed in the 12 years I've been here.

I'm not saying I don't get ticked off, but usually when people get extremely ticked off, it's because they expect something to change and be different. I'm not saying you have no right to be ticked off, but you all need to stop expecting things to be different. Your hopes are WAY TOO HIGH. It's not going to happen. Call me a pesimist (or however you spell that), that is fine. But my BP doesn't go up anymore, because I don't expect anything.

If you ask me, it's nice to be optimistic, but there's a time to get realistic. Years and years and years this really bad stuff has been going on.

Yep, I am so outta here when I can, and meanwhile, I expect NOTHING, and nothing will surprise me anymore.

People get mad because they still have principles; - something this company obviously doesnt.

When you look around this country and see good, honest, hardworking people who don't expect to make a killing and get rich, but just want to live their lives and support their families, and then you see what blood-suckers such as this corporation and other like them are doing to the people who CARRY this country, in terms of paying taxes, getting up and going to work every day, and building the very infrastructure that holds the country together, then DARNED RIGHT we're mad, and have every right to be.

Because this isn't just happening in MT. It's happening in every sector of American business. It's making the top 2% or so wealthy and powerful beyond all imagination, and it's driving the rest of us straight into the ground.

You can go back to school, you can learn coding, you can become an administrative assistant, you can become a convenience store attendant, or nurse, or a teacher, or a grocery store manager. It DOESN'T MATTER. Those at the top are not playing by any moral rules whatsoever, and they're screwing the hell out of all of us. And why? Because we're LETTING them.

There need to be some major rule changes made to the way American corporations do business, and treat their workers. And soon. If not, I truly think the middle class can (and should) stage a tax strike. Come April, if things aren't starting to turn around in our favor, then just plain don't pay the da*ned taxes. What are they gonna do - arrest the whole country? We have the power to topple the entire economy and corrupt government of this country if we set our minds to it. I'd love it if come Feb. 15th, everyone pulled their cash out of the banks, (if they have any left, that is), cashed out their 401K's early (if there's anything left, that is), liquidated everything, hid it, and then said fine. Just TRY to get us to pay any more frickin taxes, until we start to get a fair shake.

Hospitals are not getting reimbursed right now if they keep Medicare patients beyond what the government deems is a reasonable stay, but then fined if they return within 30 days for the same illness. The government is also at least 6 months behind on reimbursing hospitals and doctors. Doctors are limiting how many Medicare patients they are seeing and many doctors are just quitting. This bill affects us more negatively as an industry than a business man who wants to create jobs. Not MT wage jobs either. Just saying.

During the special Holiday in India, United State employees were required to work, mandatory, while India employees at MModal were paid time off. Obama was in India congratulating how India has now become prosperous.

Obama stated in last debate that LOW SKILLED WORK needs to be sent overseas while better skilled workers need to be here in the United States and attending school to get the better skilled jobs. TICKED ME OFF!!!!!

Should have asked - Shall we continue to expect minimum wage paychecks? I am sure if Amy could do it she would try to get us paid waitress wages and let us work off tips from the client. $10 spot reward for the month is your tip!

It is obvious they still are working on improved communication. From the employee survey all the way to now they kept saying they were listening to us. Were they really? We asked for higher pay, a raise in the tier rates and/or some sort of bonus/incentive structure. Not report lookup or benefits or a new email system or the other "rewards" Amy listed. They either were not listening or were listening and ignored us. Maybe I will have selective hearing this weekend when there is mandatory OT yet again.

the suits know what move to make next when it comes to screwing said employee, not improving their pay, working conditions, lives, or even their software. "Employee surveys" are used to stack the deck in THEIR favor, and so that we can be more easily used up and spat out.

They did an employee survey years ago and one of the major complaints was running out of work. Sound familiar? So then Medquist came up with the brilliant idea of the cesspool and no primaries and you just get whatever job came up next in the entire region. When the MTs complained they threw the survey back in our face. You wanted more work! Oh yeah I remember.

I think they think we should be impressed with what they are saying, but the calls never resolve issues of our work conditions or the fact that the rest of the company gets more paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay, etc. We are the sweat factories of the 21st century.

Instead of spending money on these upgrading computers, you need to pay the employees with incentives.

The old biddies club first encouraged offshoring to India and speech recognition. They also looked the other way when Medquist frauded their MTs and their clients, taking a kickback of the lawsuit. AHDI loves India because all their MTs get their CMT and RMT and pay dues.

experience, then they will get what they pay for. I tuned in and got a lot of housework done while it was running...and they are paying me for it, ha. They lost my attention after the part where Amy said there will be no pay increases no matter what.

So, we're scheduled for an upcoming conference call and have to be clocked off but will get paid forour time.  So .  . . do we get paid that ridiculously low PTO time that obviously is getting lowered for practically all of us every 6 months?  Does anyone find it strange that 99% of us have had our PTO pay cut soooo much over the years?  Might be a good time to bring it up, during the conference calls, so that we can all chime in about it at the same time.   ...

So if you disagree with a QA score done within the last week of the quarter, you are out of luck.  So even if they are wrong you lose your QA bonus for 3 months.  QA is horrific at this company and the quarterly thing is unfair.  Supposedly  they are "talking" about changing it back to monthly, maybe we should all give a little push for that !!! ...

Maybe if MModal hired fewer employees from Microsoft they could afford to pay transcriptionist better and allow for cost of living raises.  I have been a transcriptionist for going on 30 years and this company is one of the reasons we can't make a living wage.  I am so tired of hearing the term "industry standard" because in the past when I worked with other companies and directly in-house I was paid more.  Just because it is the "industry standard" does not make it right. &n ...

...to announce she (KK) has been promoted to a team scheduling type of position at MM starting early next month and another HDSM by the initials of KM will be taking over for KK. According to KK, KM is really nice and there are other MTs who are excited that she is taking over for KK.  Whatever.  I've only been with MM for 8 months so it's not going to rattle my world all that much.  KK was nice and I will miss her, so only time will tell if KM is as nice as KK says she ...
