What a joke....A whole lot of big words with not much being said other than "we" bring in 4.1 million in revenue and congratulations on successfully taking away work from the US MT team and given to the India MT team. YAY!!! What a success!! Aren't "we" proud? I don't know about the "we," but personally my checks are not even half as much as I made before SR...so where's that 4.1 million going? I hope the suits at Acusis can sleep well at night.

Of course the suits sleep well at night. The Acusis suits sleep well and the MDI suits sleep well. Millions of dollars will buy LOTS of sleeping pills. Meanwhile, just as the MDI debacle was a lesson to me, perhaps the Acusis debacle will be a lesson to others--DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE WHO OFFSHORE! That is the only way to throw a monkeywrench into their success. I was offered several jobs, but they were all with companies that offshored, so I said no. (Finally I found a rather small local company.) Good luck to all. To the suits at Acusis: SHAME ON YOU.

My concern is no new accounts for US - MTer

I was very alarmed at the fact that he had no answer to the direct question at the end as to whether there will be any new accounts for US MTs. They just brought on 2 new accounts, one of which is going to bring in 650,000 lines and both are going to India.

I have a feeling that they are going to transition our accounts over there. Note that one of the big accounts has not renewed their contract yet (and what that hospital is waiting for is beyond me - sign or move on, don't string us along).

It is such a shame this company is going downhill, because it was a good place to work.

I don't think it will ever get better for us. I think they'd be thrilled if we all quit and they could hire a bunch of newbies who'd work for .02 cpl so they could save even more money for themselves. Sad really.

After all, when have they ever mentioned the MTs during those calls? I think never. It's all about their pie charts and their profits (which are probably obscene), but never about the nuts and bolts of the company. Which of course should include transcription once in a while.

No changes made when Acusis first acquired DRC. Then, slowly changes start being made (the heat is turned on low and the water starts to warm up). Then, they start to increase in number and degree of negative impact on the income: cumbersome operating system that sometimes freezes, increased deductions from paychecks for health benefits, loss of differential for working weekends to requiring working a full shift both days for the small differential, and others with the biggest negative impact for me being the SR. Typing more than ever with a decrease of income to early 1990s levels with 2010's costs. It's very uncomfortable in the pot now. How can we stop it from cooking us (losing homes, etc.)?

who in their right mind thinks it is a good idea, no GREAT idea, to waggle about a 4.1 million dollar profit in front of people who are making half what they used to and doing it desperately in order to pay their bills?

Let me just say with "candor and transparency" (gawd I hate those words, what a bunch of hogwash).....don't you know?...the economy is BAD...it affects everyone.....yeah, 4.1 million is affecting someone, but definitely not us...but rest assured...it is affecting someone....right to the bank...while we are struggling to pay bills and put food on the table for our families.

So, we're scheduled for an upcoming conference call and have to be clocked off but will get paid forour time. So . . . do we get paid that ridiculously low PTO time that obviously is getting lowered for practically all of us every 6 months? Does anyone find it strange that 99% of us have had our PTO pay cut soooo much over the years? Might be a good time to bring it up, during the conference calls, so that we can all chime in about it at the same time. ...

So if you disagree with a QA score done within the last week of the quarter, you are out of luck. So even if they are wrong you lose your QA bonus for 3 months. QA is horrific at this company and the quarterly thing is unfair. Supposedly they are "talking" about changing it back to monthly, maybe we should all give a little push for that !!! ...

Let me get this straight! There are still more MTs in-house than outsourced. We all need to apply to hospitals and clinics. Maybe if MModal hired fewer employees from Microsoft they could afford to pay transcriptionist better and allow for cost of living raises. I have been a transcriptionist for going on 30 years and this company is one of the reasons we can't make a living wage. ...to announce she (KK) has been promoted to a team scheduling type of position at MM starting early next month and another HDSM by the initials of KM will be taking over for KK. According to KK, KM is really nice and there are other MTs who are excited that she is taking over for KK. Whatever.
