I was fired 2 weeks ago, after 15 years, SM - luluwu

with Edix, Spheris and then MModal. I was full time with benefits and at top pay and yes, I was working my hours and making line counts. In my case, and I hope this makes some people feel better, it was obvious they were trying to make me quit for about a year. My main account suddendly vanished. I assumed I would be placed on another acute care account, since I was tier 3, but work simply dried up. Then I was placed on clinic account. I knew immediately they were not going to pay my rate for doing clinics and this clinic work was the absolute pits. I won't get into details, but I was being treated like poop. I was trying to hold on until I turned 65. Well, I almost made it, since I have 2 months until 65. I just received my first SS check. My point is, if they are going to lay you off, you will know ahead of time. Believe me, you will know. That feeling in your gut that there is something wrong here. You're not imaging it, there is something wrong here. I found other job and so will anyone who has any experience with this company. My other gut feeling is there is a merger going to happen.
