How to make M*Modal stop incessantly calling me? I DON'T WANT TO WORK FOR THEM - SH

I am so sorry if this has been posted before. I looked but didn't see any other posts.

I applied with M*Modal a while back but landed a different MT job that I'm happy with. But these people still will NOT stop e-mailing me and calling me and leaving automated voicemail messages.

ONE voicemail message is quite enough. If I was genuinely interested in working for them, I probably would have called them back, ya think?? (And boy, it's really nice to know I am not a human being they are calling personally; I'm just some name on a computer's list.)

Does anyone have any idea whom at M*Modal I can contact to say, you know, please stop harrassing me?

well, when they call, answer the phone and tell them - you want the harrassment to stop

With our phone service (through our cable company), we have the ability to block a certain quantity of phone numbers so our phone won't even ring if they happen to call. I think we're allowed about 30 blocked phone numbers, and we can change them anytime we want.

I can't block them from calling me on my Tracfone, so far as I know, thanks for the good suggestion though. And it would make me feel better anyway to be able to tell them to please just STOP instead of having to block them.

And thanks Ms Sarcastic, that had never occured to me! [Sarcasm] But they tend to call when I'm not there and it often seems to be a recorded message anyway.

M*Modal--What's up with the e-mailing? - Kathleen

I'm wondering what is going on at M*Modal myself. Luckily, I've had a phone number change since applying originally with MedQuist when I graduated from Andrews back in 2008. I tested, passed, and even had an interview, but I never heard back from them and ended up signing on for acute care right out of school with a most delightful MTSO in October of 2008, and I am still with those wonderful folks.

Flash forward to January 2012. I started getting peppered with e-mails about the 'Quist wanting to hire me ASAP. They even wanted an up-to-date phone number, but I didn't respond to any of the e-mails they sent out. Somewhere along the line there was a name change to M*Modal, and the e-mails continued pretty hot and heavy in February and March. Since then, they've resorted to one e-mail every couple of weeks or so, but they are still sending them out.

What is going on with M*Modal that they seem so desperate for acute care MTs?

(I sure am glad I have a new phone number, though.)

I had to set up a new email to gain re-access. I posted the number for everyone a few months back. M*Modal didn't ban me, MT Starts did lol:) I understand tho, way too much advertising would go on not to mention privacy issues.

I have been using M*Modal for about a month and a half now and I was really trying to give it a shot, but I am really doubting that I can ever make good money with this program. Wondering if anyone has been able to find a way to make M-Modal go faster or if it is just hopeless. The software can be extremely slow and bogs down a lot, especially if you increase the speed or choose to optimize the playback to skip over blank spots (dictator not talking) in the dictation. I am not asking if you are happy. I haven't been happy being an MT for years. I just want to be able to pay my bills, have an income and pay my bills. Just wondering if it's okay/possible to put my "Call" macros back towards the end of General_Macro? And if so, where? I don't know where to begin with trying to record a macro for this need myself. On my main account, we're required to list meds without any following punctuation, but due to other MTSOs also subbing on it (who apparently don't have any specs or just don't have to follow the same specs we do), the lists invariably come through on VR with totally inconsistent punctuation. If anything..they are simply a Sales Convention for MTSOs and only have their interest at heart. There are never topics that relate to working as an MT or being properly represented. Instead we get the never ending changing BOS, or the CMT certification which AGAIN has changed...and btw..took a look a "sample" test and it has NOTHING to do with being an MT! MQ has made big changes to my primary account. Now things are all messed up and because of it, we have to re-enter redundant information in the ADT screen. For example, it says ADT Attending and ADT Admitting with the doc's names.
