When are they going to stop messing with - stuff???!!

MQ has made big changes to my primary account. Now things are all messed up and because of it, we have to re-enter redundant information in the ADT screen. For example, it says ADT Attending and ADT Admitting with the doc's names. Those aren't carrying over to the report now, for some reason, so we have to re-enter those docs names in the additional ADT field under attending and admitting. Also, all of the reference repository stuff is gone. It now says that the client has no reference documents at all!

What used to take me seconds to do in the ADT field now is a big mess. They changed other stuff in the ADT as well, so getting out of that screen is a nightmare. This is really ticking me off, especially since I (we) don't get paid for the ADT!!

Sorry if I'm not making sense. I just had to get it out...lol

I learned to put my name on my own paper in 1st grade. Seriously, they are the only ones who know who the heck they are talking about...

We are being required to spend way too much time on this free courtesy (an error in which could violate HIPAA). Half of the client profile is for ADT!!

We have had to add ADT attending in optional field now for about 3 months. It is ridiculous and I even sent an email asking if they computer can do it automatically...no reply. When I first started, I was so worried about forgetting it, I was not checking my worktypes because of the added step. The VERY first thing I do now when I get a report is put in that additional attending and now it is atuomatic for me. After a little while, it will get better. Hope that makes you a little less frustrated.

Seems like the doctors have become raging morons also. Consistent wrong work types like I have never heard before, don't dictate the date doc and I won't add the ADT, not to mention the run on dictations and sentences, and re-dictating things. Double physical exams for instance is a biggie with one of mine and ya know what, I am now leaving it, if I have to edit it twice by God I am getting paid for it twice. ...

The snowflake situation seems to have gotten worse. There are more of them and I just lost the third or fourth post because of them. The cursor flies around to random parts of the page when one passes by and there is constant flashing. The "flakes" look more like real fast snails trailing down the screen than snow. There is literally a snail trail of distortion behind them. I don't think the snow works with all computers. ...

I have Sylvan Software's Shortcut program, which I have had for 4 years now. Lately, it has been screwing up on me. When I do something like add a letter in editing, such as an a, it will put in an expansion as if I typed a two-letter abbreviation, like ua for urinalysis, or aa for aortic aneurysm. No one is going to do it for us. There is wage theft, minimum wage, changing of timecards, disrespect for our knowledge, ridiculous working conditions, bad management, and no communication. I am transcribing this dictator tonight who has had one patient with "infantigo" and on her "review of symptoms" she dictates "Eyes" as a subheading by itself then does HEENT later on in the review. Last night I did two fairly long duplex studies where the doctor says "use my standard" with a lot of "move this, take that out, insert this..." Not difficult, but time consuming. When I went in to look at my line count after my shift, I got a total of 20 lines for the two reports, or 16.48 cents! What gives with this? Did I miss the memo, or did they just not tell us? Next week they'll be asking us to pay them when we actually get work. :o( ...

I agree with that wholeheartedly. But unions CAN force fair compensation for the skill and experience with the new technology. I have never understood the concept that MTs should be paid half of what they normally get paid for straight typing when doing VR editing.
