When this PTO garbage started I knew something was coming down. I don't like this new NJA procedure. I haven't had time to decipher the whole thing, but something STINKS
What stinks are targets on the MTs from the listed states - think about it
[ In Reply To ..]If they can get away with not providing work AND only paying me 75 cents per shift (6 minutes of minimum wage) why in the world would they want to pay another MT on the same accounts 4 hours at benefit rate just because they live in a different state? They wouldn't and that is my point. Those MTs are either going to get all the work or get laid off. I am not sure where Mmodal's head is on this one, but this is what stinks. Who is next on the chopping block?
In fact, some MT companies are just not hiring if you are from California at all because they don't want to pay the 4 hours downtime. Sad but true.
In my mind we all should get at least our benefit rate when there is no work, but when have we ever known Mmodal to do anything other than the bare minimum they are required to do? Then I listen to my TSM tell me that employees are living off the work availability money. Really? Who do you know is living off less than a dollar a day?

While it is cheap as heck for the company, there is the argument of...the ones with the bennies need the work first. I think they are just going to pick a group and bleed them dry till they quit

We were told recently a doctor was complaining about the quality of our reports. I thought that strange as he has no accent and speaks very clearly. I just did a report of his and his complaints are....do not use 1, 2, 3, etc., spell out one, two, three, etc.., do not leave off THE patient and just type patient at the beginning of a sentence..do not leave off LABORATORY IS AS FOLLOWS and just type LABORATORY, type what I said.
