the bickerings of his office staff. Mind you, I make great per hour pay with this doctor, so I cannot complain about his pay, but for him to acknowledge that he was aware how valuable my time is really put a smile on my face. His office wanted me to do something for them and I propose charging them (not him) $25/hour. He told me I had undercut myself and was worth more. :) This was something they need to take care of internally and he told me he will tell them not to bother me with that kind of petty stuff.
I just felt like sharing a smile :)

No one, especially if you are having a medical issue, wants to go to a physician's office and deal with crabby, rude people.

If you acted the way they do, they'd call you unprofessional. I'm glad to hear the doctor really appreciates what you do. There are a lot of doctors who do appreciate what we MTs do.

That was about 5 years ago. I've been working for him for 15 years so far. I even tried to leave a couple years ago because I had so much work with the hospital and another practice, that I felt he could find someone else....he wouldn't hear of it and offered me more to stay. Of course, I refused the extra (What! Am I Nuts????!!!!! No, I really like working for him).
There are some good docs out there.
BTW, I left the other service when they decided they were sending the work to their family in Pakistan to do...so it all worked out in the end.

We were told recently a doctor was complaining about the quality of our reports. I thought that strange as he has no accent and speaks very clearly.
