Of over 100 MTs/MMEs on my team, only 32 are eligible for the "contest." In any other company/industry it might make management take a second look at their policies when the majority is on the naughty list...

On my 3rd write up and probably headed for my 4th after this month for audits. I am worried but almost hope for it to end soon. Would love to collect unemployment and go back to school I am hoping since I am not intentionally doing anything that unemployment will be an option. Who knows though. Too much stress!!!!!

I know the last conversation I had with my CCM I was told that there was 1 more step and that she still had "something to do with it." I did pass in June with a 99.75 but just received last week's audits today and had a 100 and a 98.75. I tend to think that if they fired everyone for this rule they would be paying a lot of unemployment because if it is not "misconduct" you are eligible! I really don't want to get fired but have the mind set that I am going to...maybe a preservation instinct kicking in and trying to think ahead! I am so stressed over this and it should not be this way!

What did they do, just never bring it up again? I am on the written...so 3rd write up. I passed June but I am a little fearful for July. I really don't see how they can fire us all...too much unemployment to be paid!

they eventually started the process all over again with another account, and some other frivolous "problem". I don't plan to do anything differently; all I can do is my best, anyway. It's not our fault if they continually raise their minimum score to unobtainable levels.

I was actually disappointed that I wasn't fired. 6 months of unemployment would've been nice. However, if this time they do decide to terminate me over the current "low" scores, I think the fact that their minimum isn't really attainable by anyone would be proof enough. If MM claims that "other people are achieving the minimum," then they're going to have to prove it with actual facts on actual employees. Just because they claim this is true, doesn't necessarily mean that it is, and I plan to fight them if I'm let go for this reason.

I'm now going through the PM maze. I swear, they are just making up the rules as they go along. I pass, I fail, I pass, I fail, and have no idea where I am in the "official" string of things or how long this will go on for. Have been with company for over 20 years, have always been told I've been doing a great job, and suddenly (around the time they filed for bankruptcy) I'm not worthy and am treated like I am in kindergarten??!!

I started with Spheris in 2005...going through the same BS. You are right...started when they filed bankruptcy....hummmmm something is fishy here! I keep waiting for the ball to drop. One more shot left here supposedly. I guess we'll see. I feel really humiliated too...like I am careless and stupid.

Not that I really care, but I find that interesting.

I'm not presently on PM, but I don't leave enough blanks that I could 'win' for greatest improvement.

I am expecting to be put on PM at some point for not making the 150 lph minimum. Not speeding up the audio really has cut into my line count. In order not to chance missing any of the piddly stuff they whack you with, I have had to slow down the audio.

MM has yet to meet their ASR quality they promised us! Ability to put out 3x more work??? More like able to put out 0.75 of the lph before editing. >:-o

All these "contests" are rigged, anyway. It's - no skin off my nose to not be "eligible." nm

This is interesting, when I talked to my manager today, I congratulated her on making the latest "cut." She seemed surprised that I knew about it. And, as far as I can tell, there has been no mail sent out about any blanks contest. I checked all my folders, too. Could it be a blanks contest specific to only certain regions?

The TSM and QC person I've worked with forEVVVVER in the west is gone, both of them being moved up into new positions, and dividing their accounts and the entire team of MTs/MMEs has been disassembled and moved to other areas. Most of us are typing for many, many different hospitals. I am having a computer problem hope you can help...I have a laptop that I had to replaced the hard drive in about 6 weeks or so ago. When we first got it back, it worked faster than before. Now, less than 2 months later, it is really slow. I defragment the hard drive once a week, etc. but it has not helped. It has become obvious that a company is putting us in work pools, NOT to get improved TAT, but to either play favorites or to give the primo/better dictators to the MTs who cannot handle the crappiest dictators. I have noted that I have had the same lousy dictators over and over again, no matter what time of day I work or which days of the week. I never seem to get the ones that I consider better dictators, nor do I seem to be getting the long consults (which I also like). ...
