Questions about Performance Management - anon

Does anyone who goes on Performance Management ever come off again, or does it inevitably result in a layoff/firing or quitting? Is this usually done after failing the 3rd audit?

What usually happens when you fail your second audit? 

I've only failed one but I'm trying to put a plan together in case there's a 2nd. 

and what is the difference between failed audit - and failed reports

Seem to be failing an awful lot of reports lately but none say audit and nothing happens except I feel like a total moron

An audit is the average - sm

An audit takes the average score of a group of reports. You can fail a report but still pass an audit. If they looked at 5 reports and your scores were 99.5, 100, 100, 100, and 100, even though you failed a report, your total audit score would be 99.9%

Then I really wish they would stop sending out the failed jobs by the zillion and just audit me and let me move on. My confidence after 20 years is at zero, I am crawling along and second guessing everything at this point.

I am confused by what do you mean. How are they sending out failed jobs without an associated audit? Are they sending you emails about errors?

I only:
1) Get emails from my quality manager about errors from the customer error log.

2) If I do a search of my past reports, I see some of them have a score on them.

3) Or I get an email telling me I was audited, and there will be an Excel file attached with details.

I am curious about what you mean by sending out 'failed jobs'?

The policy for performance management is listed in MQ Central. It gives the exact protocol of verbal warnings, written, etc final written then termination. There is a period of time before moving on to each; in my case, about a week. If you are able to correct mistakes and make requirements within time period, performance management is considered complete -- unless mistakes are made again and the protocol begins with a new date. Hope this helps. Check it out under policies; the whole process is listed in detail.

I was so stressed a few months ago when I got the dreaded email that I had failed my audit and was on performance management. Then I failed the second audit and thought that I had no chance. However, instead of getting an email that I was getting a written warning, I got an email that my audit was 100% and I was off performance management! It can be done! Good luck!

I really needed to know that there is hope even if an employee is on performance management. I'm not going through it, but I work best when I know what to anticipate if I do. I'm reeeeally paying attention to what I'm doing this week so hopefully this won't be an issue.

I am having a computer problem hope you can help...I have a laptop that I had to replaced the hard drive in about 6 weeks or so ago.  When we first got it back, it worked faster than before.  Now, less than 2 months later, it is really slow.  I defragment the hard drive once a week, etc. but it has not helped.  The PC that I use for work (I do not use for anything but work) never has had a problem with getting slower but with the laptop it is bad.  Of cous ...

Work Pools/performance Punishment... What To Do?

It has become obvious that a company is putting us in work pools, NOT to get improved TAT, but to either play favorites or to give the primo/better dictators to the MTs who cannot handle the crappiest dictators.  I have noted that I have had the same lousy dictators over and over again, no matter what time of day I work or which days of the week.   I never seem to get the ones that I consider better dictators, nor do I seem to be getting the long consults (which I also like).  ...
