Extremely poor management, lousy pay (if you get paid) and the usual lousy ESLs.

The pay is pitiful. For the most part, the people are very nice, save for a couple of them I'd rather not communicate with. Actually, it's about like every other company I've been reading about on these boards.

... if you're looking for straight transcription, good luck. Regardless of what the recruiter might tell you, they're mostly VR, and on at least one of the accounts it's a crappy platform.

I agree with all the above. I got let go from there in May because my evals were 98% and below and I got three in a row; however, all of them had been 99%+ for several months, they find a way to screw with you. And the pay is the worst I had seen in 37 years.

I am a current employee at TTS. I make a good cpl and have had no issues with management. I have been there almost 10 months. My pay is ALWAYS, I repeat, ALWAYS on time. They have been great with working with me if situations come up and I needed a day off or to flex. I love working there. Every company has it's ups and downs.
Is Transcription, Technology and Support the same company as TTS that everyone says is awful to work for and management is bad?
I am afraid to apply at companies that have 2 names and keep advertising for help. That can't be a good sign.

Anyone know anything about working for Transcription, Technology, and Support? I am looking for UP TO DATE information on them, preferably from someone who has worked there or is working there. ...
I have just been offered a job and accepted with TTS. I have been able to avoid VR for quite sometime, but will now be doing this. I have heard good and bad so not sure what to expect. Just curious to know pros and cons with TTS?Also curious what to expect with doing VR? 75% of my work will be VR, but mostly clinic account and only 15% of ESL's. Any thoughts and/or opinions or anyone who works there, what do you think? Thanks! ...
Most posts on here are negative so I just wanted to post a positive one...I have 20+ years experience in medical transcription and have recently started with Transcription Technology & Support and thus far they are by far one of the better companies I have worked for...very happy to have made the move to them. Run out of work on occassion but very rare, pay is fair, and everyone I have had any contact with has been very nice and willing to help, communication is excellent when I need a ...
Any former or present employees of TTS out there that can tell me what it's like working for TTS? I've been told that working on the eScription platform on a certain account, I could make up to over 400 LPH. I've never heard that & I've never done that at any of the companies I've worked for.
Is it a good company to work for? Do they support & nurture their MTs?
I'm supposed to have a decision by Wednesday morning at the latest & woul ...
I wrote this essay about the negative impact VR and outsourcing has had on this field. I thought you guys might appreciate it.
HOW TECHNOLOGY KILLED THE MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION FIELD
Long before I began working as a medical transcriptionist in 1993, others had been making a good living in the field for many years. For those unaware, medical transcriptionists (sometimes referred to as medical language specialists) are responsible for producing patients' medical records.

Interested in this company. Wondering about facts, recent (2014-2015) info on Transcription, Technology, Support.
QA: Punitive, reasonable.
Hours: Enough work?

Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. Platform is DocQscribe which has to be the easiest one I've ever used out of M*Modal/eScription..etc. The speech rec is not as precise as eScription but on the + positive side this IS the 1st company that doesn't QA NITPICK unnecessar ...
I was sent a link to test for this company and was absolutely floored! I did the application form portion of the test and then was directed to the screening process, which was a series of multiple choice and fill in the blank questions (10 minutes it took to complete). After completing that I thought I would be directed to the transcription portion of the test, but no - I was directed to another series of multiple choice and fill in the blank questions totalling about 30 mi ...
Does anyone know of a fair paying transcription service hiring now? I find myself going from one company to another working so many hours for so little pay. Unfortunate we have moved so far away from treating transcriptionists with respect and giving them dignity when we slave over these reports and get less than minimum wage sometimes. ...
I have worked for Spheris and MedQuist in the past (5 years ago). Do these companies still provide computers to their new hires. What else is out there now. Any new or better companies to transcribe for ...
The hospital I worked for recently outsourced their transcription department to Nuance. Because of their extremely high insurance rates, I decided not to go with them and am therefore unemployed. I have over 20 years of experience transcribing all specialties except pathology and my strong suit is radiology. Any advice anyone can give as to which transcription service I should look into would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to become an employee not an independent co ...
One of over 40 services I applied and sent resumes to in my miserable search for a service that actually has work. That was over 2 months ago. They are asking me to test because they pay a whopping $20 per audio hour (which by my crude calculation would end up being about $6 per audio hour). And apparently they pay through Paypal. How's that for professional? This company is in NYC and apparently intent on preying on the continually rising numbers of MTs out th ...
I am looking for information on e-MedScribe Transcription Service out of Houston, TX. I tried to do a search for this company but I could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. ...
I have been a MT for about 6 years now and would like more information on how to start my own medical transcription service for clinics (not hospitals). Tried find a book on it but could not find any information or even a legitimate website on where to start with doing this. I have been an independent contractor for 6 years but now would like to venture into business and get my own physician accounts and actually hire other MTs to work for me. Anyone that has done this that can ...
I'm looking for a Medical Transcription Service Organization (MTSO) for my company to use in order to improve the quality of service that my medical transcription business provides to its clients and to help me comply with the HIPPA laws. I see some VERY expensive services out there; but are there any inexpensive ones that would help a small company like ours? ...
