Anyone know anything about working for Transcription, Technology, and Support? I am looking for UP TO DATE information on them, preferably from someone who has worked there or is working there.

I have worked there. A friend still works there. If you don't mind being micromanaged by buck-passing incompetents who have been there for years, TTS is the place for you.

I am completely serious about TTS and have summarized what I underwent in the last year and what my friend has just experienced.

I have been there for nearly 2 years and nobody micromanages me. I have a great TL and the leads are great as well. Great communication. I do my job and they don't bug me. It's all in the eye of the beholder!!

TTS has a lot of managers who work together to drive out unwanted MTs. They are incompetent from top to bottom of management team but will cover for each other. I know MTs who left before me and gave the same negative story. I thought it was sour grapes till they did it to me. Now it is happening to my friend. Don't be fooled into thinking it won't happen to you. Same managers, same incompetency, same attitude toward MTs. Management is arrogant and believes MTs are dispensible and the managers are not. They are the most incompetent lot of managers gathered in any one company and as MTs come and go, they stay because there is a "buddy" system among them and they cover for each other when it comes to their "mistakes."

But why would they want to drive MTs away, when they need them to do the work - lka

I just don't understand that logic. Like I say, I have there for going on 2 years and no problems that can't be communicated about? Believe me, I am no door mat either. If I have a concern or problem I go to them and it is always worked out. I have even thought of leaving, especially when the work gets low at times, but I have been offered a back-up account and don't really want one because I am only part-time and I only want part-time. Please explain or email if you like, because I am just not "getting it."

There are Huge Egos on the management team so NEVER question any decision they make and NEVER go over their head if their decision doesn't make sense.

I had 99-100% QA over the course of 3 years - but unfortunately I did question why I was not getting certain doctors any longer on my account. I was told it was "luck of the draw" but that didn't make sense, especially when for 3 months these 3 dictators were not in my queue and they were dictating daily. I questioned "luck of the draw" answer to higher management and it turns out they were blocked on purpose and middle management was exposed, maybe doing something shady or maybe just incompetent.

I too was given a second account after complaining of low work to first a middle manager and finally after no results, I went to higher management. My going over immediate supervisor's head once again exposed middle management as being shady or incompetent.

If you are willing to accept whatever middle management tells you you will okay. Trouble with the middle management at TTS is they are incompetent and they are capable of jerking your work around and in my case they did. They are now doing the same to my friend.

Previously another friend who worked very briefly for TTS found she was offered one account but was switched to another because of low work. The account she was switched to was very difficult with more than average ESL work and she felt she had been baited and switched by TTS management team.

Now this is just my personal experience but I would be 99% sure that the character traits of the management team I have seen are not isolated to me and my 2 friends.

You can contact me but my issues may not be a concern for you at this point. If you are on a difficult account part-time I doubt the management divas of TTS will bother you. I would just warn you to be aware of the politics that go on within the management staff and this is with full knowledge of the owners of the company because I notified them specifically on my way out of what was going on behind the scenes and offered documentation. Knowing TTS management style if I were you I would keep looking for a back-up plan of employment because there is no guarantee no matter how good your work is over the years.

Overall, after my experience I don't give high marks to top or middle management at TTS. It's more than crazy town as even when faced with documentation of incompetence and/or shadiness, they will look the other way and protect the management team.

I have just been offered a job and accepted with TTS. I have been able to avoid VR for quite sometime, but will now be doing this. I have heard good and bad so not sure what to expect. Just curious to know pros and cons with TTS?Also curious what to expect with doing VR? 75% of my work will be VR, but mostly clinic account and only 15% of ESL's. Any thoughts and/or opinions or anyone who works there, what do you think?Thanks! ...

Most posts on here are negative so I just wanted to post a positive one...I have 20+ years experience in medical transcription and have recently started with Transcription Technology & Support and thus far they are by far one of the better companies I have worked for...very happy to have made the move to them. Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. The people who programmed, designed, whatever, Editscript have added nice little features, like the red box, and the speeding up dictation feature when the dictator says nothing.
