Transcription, Technology and Support (TTS) - steph1

I have just been offered a job and accepted with TTS. I have been able to avoid VR for quite sometime, but will now be doing this. I have heard good and bad so not sure what to expect.

Just curious to know pros and cons with TTS?

Also curious what to expect with doing VR? 75% of my work will be VR, but mostly clinic account and only 15% of ESL's.

Any thoughts and/or opinions or anyone who works there, what do you think?

I am working there now and haven't had any issues thus far. I am actually having some scheduling issues and they have been great to try and work those out with me and very understanding. I have always had good help from QA and have never felt like I bothered them with questions.

Beware, you will read TONS of negative stuff on here about TTS, but my advice would be to judge on your own experience, and so far mine has been good.

Also, do you like the VR and are you on the Dictaphone platform? If so, is it user-friendly and do you like it? How is your production with the VR? I have over 15 years of experience in straight typing and the recruiter told me I was an above average MT so my learning curve, even for VR, would be fairly quick and more than likely above average production on VR.

Dictaphone platform is not the greatest. You will lose money on VR and Dictaphone if they have offered you 4 cpl or less which is the going rate for TTS VR.

Recruiters are less than honest at TTS.

I find the platform fairly user friendly. I am doing "OK" on production but am still trying to move on up. I am taking my time familiarizing myself with account specifics and VR and dictators and also working out some scheduling kinks.

Like I said, I highly recommend that you just judge the company on your own experiences. I have not had any bad experiences yet, only good, but I had myself scared to death because of some of the things people have posted on here.

Be careful you don't step on any management toes. They are vicious if you threaten their position with the owner.

Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. The people who programmed, designed, whatever, Editscript have added nice little features, like the red box, and the speeding up dictation feature when the dictator says nothing.
