That advertised a $500 sign on bonus for oncology MTs, I was told by two on this board that they never got their bonuses, but when I asked for specifics such as "did you meet their requirements to receive the bonus" there were no replies.

The rate of pay is lower than nuance but with they way nuance manipulates u and takes u off accts once you get to know them I am not even making $8.00 an hour. I was told that TTS MT's average between 400 and 600 lines per hour just wondering if that is true

and seem to really care about their MTs... pay rate is pretty and QA is a real stickler.

I have been at TTS for over a year and I can honestly say that I stay on my primary which is a big change from where I previously worked. Pay is every two weeks DD and the PDO is like a bank, you put time in as you go along. Our TL told us of a new hospital system that is starting soon so maybe they are hiring.
Thanks for the info, I am soo relieved, I am starting with them on Tuesday. - Smitty

Most everyone warns you to stay away from TTS and when one person speaks up in favor of them, you're "soo relieved" to be starting with them?
Good luck with that. As a former TTS employee I'll bet you'll be back here in 6 months telling others to stay away. We were all very starry-eyed when we first started there and were the first to hop on here in defense of them, but it doesn't take long to see how they really operate.
Maybe it's the person and NOT the company - EJ

I have been with TTS over 5 years now. Just because it wasn't a good fit for you doesn't mean the next person won't love it.
From what I have seen, too many MTs don't treat working from home like it is a real job. You wouldn't have a job at the hospital if you showed up and worked 5 hours of a 8 hour shift right? But yet so many complain when companies actually want you to work your shift/hours (gasp). A lot of us do take it as seriously as an in-house job and the ones who don't make it look bad for the rest of us. Those types of jobs don't exist anymore.

Please DON'T waste your time with this company! All the bad reviews on here regarding the above company are so totally correct! I am sooooo glad I found out the truth BEFORE I started working for them. God is good! (:
Is Transcription, Technology and Support the same company as TTS that everyone says is awful to work for and management is bad?
I am afraid to apply at companies that have 2 names and keep advertising for help. That can't be a good sign.

I have just been offered a job and accepted with TTS. I have been able to avoid VR for quite sometime, but will now be doing this. I have heard good and bad so not sure what to expect. Just curious to know pros and cons with TTS?Also curious what to expect with doing VR? 75% of my work will be VR, but mostly clinic account and only 15% of ESL's. Any thoughts and/or opinions or anyone who works there, what do you think? Thanks! ...
Most posts on here are negative so I just wanted to post a positive one...I have 20+ years experience in medical transcription and have recently started with Transcription Technology & Support and thus far they are by far one of the better companies I have worked for...very happy to have made the move to them. Run out of work on occassion but very rare, pay is fair, and everyone I have had any contact with has been very nice and willing to help, communication is excellent when I need a ...
Any former or present employees of TTS out there that can tell me what it's like working for TTS? I've been told that working on the eScription platform on a certain account, I could make up to over 400 LPH. I've never heard that & I've never done that at any of the companies I've worked for.
Is it a good company to work for? Do they support & nurture their MTs?

Is anyone familiar with a company called MD-IT Transcription? I am looking for a job as transcription jobs at the hospital I work for are being outsourced to a company called Nuance. I have not heard good things about Nuance. Would appreciate any information from someone who is familiar with MD-IT Transcription. Thanks. ...
As I believe it is a company that handles the Payroll of a transcription company. I thought I had received all my W2s, then this one pops up. It was only for about 600 gross income. I am thinking it may be TTS, but not sure, as I worked a little bit for them, but I thought it was in 2009, not 2010. ...
If you want to work as an employee, try Patient First in VA. They pay by the line, never run out of work, pay hourly wage if any unforeseen downtime, and type straight dictation. If you can type dictation non-verbatim, this might work for you. Check on CareerBuilder or Monster jobs. I was not able to type non-verbatim, just against my ethics. ...

I wrote this essay about the negative impact VR and outsourcing has had on this field. I thought you guys might appreciate it.
HOW TECHNOLOGY KILLED THE MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION FIELD
Long before I began working as a medical transcriptionist in 1993, others had been making a good living in the field for many years. For those unaware, medical transcriptionists (sometimes referred to as medical language specialists) are responsible for producing patients' medical records.

Hi Everyone,
Have you every heard of a company called Silent Type. Are they good or bad to work for, steady workflow, compensation rate. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. ...
Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. Platform is DocQscribe which has to be the easiest one I've ever used out of M*Modal/eScription..etc. The speech rec is not as precise as eScription but on the + positive side this IS the 1st company that doesn't QA NITPICK unnecessar ...
I found out something from my TCM or whatever the abbreviation is. What we see in the stats does not show work going to India. That is a separate document that we do not have access to. Also, if any of us have a big teaching hospital on our accounts or state hospital, that work DOES NOT go to India as they receive federal funding or some kind of funding that requires them not to offshore. Also, she said that with the big hospital iin the region I am working, the census is ...
