What's It Like For TTS (Transcription, Technology & Support)? - Eagle

Any former or present employees of TTS out there that can tell me what it's like working for TTS? I've been told that working on the eScription platform on a certain account, I could make up to over 400 LPH. I've never heard that & I've never done that at any of the companies I've worked for.

Is it a good company to work for? Do they support & nurture their MTs?

I'm supposed to have a decision by Wednesday morning at the latest & would like more info before making the decision.

Please help!

I laughed and told them that was an insult and under no circumstances would I work for that pay. Obviously, I didn't take the job.

I average around 300 lph (escription), always have work (even OT), team leads are nice, QA/trainers are nice (not nitpicky), higher ups most often curt, abrasive, condescending. If you have a good work ethic, are willing and open to learn, and can be very tactful when dealing with the higher ups, you'll do fine. Pay is not the greatest, but you'll almost never run out of work; and I've got to say that the SR is pretty well trained because they are strict about quality and sticking to account specs, so you can usually breeze right through. Pay is low, but pretty much what you're going to get elsewhere. I've been with them a couple of years, but this is not my main source of income so it works for me

Quite easy if you have someone in the office looking at for you and routing all the horrible dictators to the other MTs. With Ops especially you can fly.

Started with them back in August. Love it. There is the nurturing. I am on the Dictaphone. Sure you have bad days but then there are the good days. Building my line count slowly. Now up to 325 an hour.

upper mgmt very uncaring - looking elsewhere

Used to be a great company to work for. Have been there for years. Was able to do 600 lines or more (speech) but now on same account I can barely make 400. Shift leads are great and very helpful but upper mgmt is a different story. If they think you are too outspoken they can make your life miserable.

Looking elsewhere- I noticed my line count has - gone down. Do you have

any concerns about what caused this? I was in a very high lph count and then a couple or so months ago noticed the line count went down dramatically. I work just like I always have, been with them for several years now. Did you think anything up when this happened with you? Strange, don't you think?

I questioned them about this and they said nothing has changed but losing 400-500 dollars a paycheck working the same account doesn't make sense. They refuse to discuss it any further.

I have been with them for 4 months and am very pleased. They leave me alone. I type on a great account that has loads of work and could work OT every day if I so desired. I have another full time job with a company who I cannot stand so I only work part time for TTS. They pay me 8 and 4. My account is 3/4 VR and the rest straight typing. I normally get around 350 LPH. I am on the Escription platform and not dictaphone. Their QA is great. They do not nitpick you to death like my other company.

I worked there recently for about 3 weeks. I was hired for a new account along with many other MTs. It was a nightmare from the start. It was a vertabim account, and the client was extremely particular, even though it was the absolute worst ESL dictation I've ever heard. Even with the ability to look back at previous reports, there was no way of knowing whether the VR was accurate or not. It was absolutely incomprehensible. Finally, after getting a lot of bad feedback from QA, I quit before they fired me. I have been an MT for 8 years, and I don't know how anyone could do this account with accuracy. Maybe it depends on account. This was just my experience. My rate was 6 and 3, 90% VR. Good luck with whatever you decide Maybe you'll get a better account. :)

TTS verbatim! Aren't we all tempted to just once give it to them exactly as dictated. Verbatim is a crock. Darned if you do and darned if you don't. I too spent about 3 weeks with them on an impossible "verbatim" account.

The CEO is psycho - ex TTS and better off

She had it in for me from day one. I don't think she realized I was a brand-new person working in the training department, but she was extremely hateful and rude when I could not hear her on the phone during my 1st conference call. It went downhill from there. One day she was nice and pleasant, the next day she was screaming and just verbally abusive in all of her emails. I have been in this business almost 25 years and have never in my life been treated so poorly. Go ahead, Google the CEO of TTS. Complaints about her are all over the Internet.

I have just been offered a job and accepted with TTS. I have been able to avoid VR for quite sometime, but will now be doing this. I have heard good and bad so not sure what to expect. Just curious to know pros and cons with TTS?Also curious what to expect with doing VR? 75% of my work will be VR, but mostly clinic account and only 15% of ESL's. Any thoughts and/or opinions or anyone who works there, what do you think?Thanks! ...

Most posts on here are negative so I just wanted to post a positive one...I have 20+ years experience in medical transcription and have recently started with Transcription Technology & Support and thus far they are by far one of the better companies I have worked for...very happy to have made the move to them. Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. The people who programmed, designed, whatever, Editscript have added nice little features, like the red box, and the speeding up dictation feature when the dictator says nothing.
