Editing LPH requirement question, sm - biskie the transcribing dog

Can any of you share with me what your LPH requirement for editing is? Our hospital just switched to Epic and they told us 225 LPH which none of us can make unless we take a hit of speed first. Just kidding of course, we don't do that, but none of us can make that editing expectation. They don't have any additional parameters, because the boss doesn't know anything about transcription, so I can't tell you if it includes spaces, headers, or what. We would get in trouble if we dared ask! I just know we are all feeling doomed because we can't make it. Someone told me M*Modal is 150, is that true? Can anyone else share? Thank you.

Nuance is 186 which is a combined straight and VR LPH. I also work for TTS which is all VR and their LPH is 250, but I find it much easier to make the LPH with TTS because the account I am on has very straight forward dictators and so I can breeze through them for the most part and my LPH is right around 300; HOWEVER, with Nuance it is the exact opposite. Their VR is horrible and I find myself having to retype more of the report then I should have to. I find it hard to make my 186 at times due to this along of course that some of it is straight typing. Go figure.

Thank you so much for sharing that info. I hope we get faster. One thing is we spend so much time in the chart hunting down account numbers, and also they didn't buy the "upgrade" so any mistakes are almost impossible to fix, therefore there was an edict that we aren't allowed to make mistakes. we get a nastygram every time we do. No stress.

I have no idea what the requirements are - where I work, can only say I did

479.5 per hour for Thursday and then 474 per hour for Friday's work. I don't think I have ever known, just work and no one has said I don't do enough. There were some extra lines straight for those 2 days but did not count, just the VR.

When everything that can go wrong does go wrong on my shift I have been as low as 78 LPH, but as high as 1100 LPH with dictators. I don't think we have as much control over production as the dictators do, and how fast the platform moves. I'm stuck with one whose autocorrect moves back half a sentence when we need only a fraction of a second.

what are you all doing when there is no work during whatever your shift may have been? Are you having to make up the hours elsewhere? (That could lead to potentially a lot of bouncing around the shifts trying to find work.) ...

I'm going to start ASR shortly and am wondernig about line counts. I'm required to do 150 lph of straight transcription. My CCM keeps saying not to worry about lines and that I'll be able to easily do 300 lph or more with ASR. Does this mean I now will have two different line counts to meet. Will I be required to do 300 lph for ASR and 150 lph for straight reports? I'm confused on this. Thanks ...

Can somebody explain this to me? I know you can work up to 40 hrs weekly, but what is the required line count? I'm wanting to go to PT so I can get another PT job somewhere else, as the NJA drives my nuts. I'm currently required to get 100 lph at FTLB. Is this also my requirement if I go PT? Very shortly our accuracy requirement will be 99.6%. Since this company cares nothing about accuracy, my conclusion is two-fold: 1) As they always have, they are going to use this as a marketing tool. 2) Anyone who falls below 99.6% will have their pay docked thus reducing the company's labor costs even further and will probably result in administrative bonuses. I have been offered a position with InScribe and am really on the fence regarding accepting the position or not. I currently work for Webmedx/Nuance and positively HATE Nuance and looking to get out of there.
