typing/editing. Not unobtainable, but there was, at least in my experience, never enough work. I quit awhile ago and wouldn't refer anyone to them unless I didn't like them.
That's not the case anymore, it's 186 lph average now. - nm

The line count at Nuance is a combined 186 lph. They take how many lines you type in a week, then divide that by your total clocked-in hours. Essentially that breaks down to needing to type over 1400 lines per day and over 7400 per week. So if you are clocked in, you better make sure you are typing or it really screws up your line counts. They track "system time" versus your "clock time" which never matches, and you supposedly get 2 paid 15 minute breaks, but yet that counts against your productivity, so to ensure you get a break, AND maintain your productivity you can clock out for your breaks, but then you have to make up that time so you have 8 hours in a day - so essentially you don't get "paid" breaks, it's a joke. They say that new grads get 6 months to hit those line counts, but they will write you up w/in 90 days with threat of termination if you don't hit the 186 lph. You have to work full-time (40 hours) as a new hire for 1 year, just fyi.

This is strange..we just had a conference call yesterday stating our line count requirement was 157 lph..
Could be the platform you are on. sm - E5 user.

Webmedx used the clunky E5 platform and had a lower min lph when we first became Nuance. Since they made improvements to the VR aspect (rolling eyes), we are now at 186 lph, which looks like, from this forum, people are struggling to maintain. I'm one of them. Enjoy the lower min lph while you can.

The LPH for Nuance, pretty much across the board, is minimum 186.

what are you all doing when there is no work during whatever your shift may have been? Are you having to make up the hours elsewhere? (That could lead to potentially a lot of bouncing around the shifts trying to find work.) ...
I know it isnt much as there is hardly any work, but where on earth do I find my line count for escription? I can find it for anything that goes through QA but not the rest.
Anyone tell me......? Thanks. ...
I think the lines are padded. After typing all day at break neck speed, I am shocked at the end of the day how low my line count is. I work for another company doing the same thing, just as fast, and I get double the lines. Well, we will never know because at Nuance we can't copy the report and paste it into Word to get a line count because it is blocked, I think they do that on purpose and that way we can't check our lines to see if it is accurate, which I know ...
Anyone not making line count for Accentus? I am making about half required and will have 2 weeks to make line count. Canadian accounts. What happens if I cannot make it, will they let me go?
...
Relatively new. Did not make the required line count one week. Is this a biggie or are you okay as long as you average out for payperiod? What might I expect? ...
I can do it most of the time, but every now and then I miss it, sometimes by as much as 20 lines per hour. I have had 1 email asking that I use my time more productively and make the line count. I actually do use my time as productively as I can. I admit, although I have done this for years, I am not great with VR editing. Also, with the high standards and deductions in FIESA, I really listen and listen again to much of my transcription so I don't fall below wanted numbers there. I am doing ...
Can somebody explain this to me? I know you can work up to 40 hrs weekly, but what is the required line count? I'm wanting to go to PT so I can get another PT job somewhere else, as the NJA drives my nuts. I'm currently required to get 100 lph at FTLB. Is this also my requirement if I go PT? CCM has been MIA, so I'm not getting any help there and having a hard time finding exactly what I'm looking for on Central. Thanks ...
Last month, there was a post about a company that requires 12,000 lines per pay period full time requirement. I cannot remember which company it was. Can anyone refresh my memory? ...
I usually use the line count built into the Word program itself. Is MTStars flash count and/or abacus equivocal ?? Any one program better than the other ?? TIA ...
I'm aware of the increase in lines per hour to 186 (average between regular and edited) which I think might be a little challenging to sustain on a regular day-in and day-out basis, but why is no one discussing the increased weekly line requirements. It's a pretty significant jump. ...
It is still 150 lines/hr for straight isn't it? (I think I've gotten a total of 3 straight transcription jobs in the last month).
So, is it 150 lines for VR too, which is what the majority of our work is? Or is the line requirement much higher for VR?
This is all assuming there is work of course........ ...
What is the production requirement for Nuance and how long do you have to meet it? If you are not meeting it in 90 days do they let you go or do they give you time? ...
Any info for this company would be helpful. Currently work for a company that has set quality standard to an unachievable number so they can lose US MTs. ...
I was just hired on with a company to do strictly VR. I am only going to be working part time so about 4 hours a day. I am wondering from those who do VR what kind of line production should I shoot for in 4 hours of work? What is the normal VR line count for part time? I have read that most who are working full time or 8 hours a day are doing more than 1,000, even 2,000 a day. The company I will be working for wants a minimum of 10,000 lines in a payperiod which the lady said even with part time ...
Anyone have MP Count? I used it a few years ago, but my computer crashed so I no longer have it. I'm not sure if this IC job is gonna work out so I'm not wanting to buy a program at this point. Any advice?
Thanks. ...
Is this correct? I type 70,000 characters a day. I am paid by the 65 character line so I would divide 70,000 by 65 to get 1076, then multiple that by pay per line, say $.10 and get $107. If this is not correct then what is the formula? And what is the average number of lines per day? Thanks so much for the info. ...
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is the easiest way to not count template lines when trying to invoice? I get a line count through Word, but I hear that Word counts blank spaces as well. I downloaded and use Flash Count, but it includes all 65 character lines, I beleive including the template headings. I hope this makes sense. Please help!! ...
