Just 2 weeks after being laid off along with many others, Alpha has the gaul to post an ad looking for MTs....really???? why were we let go then??? Oh but you have to live in certain states? What's up with that????

Alpha was a front for iMedX..upper management claimed they know nothing about them, but your paycheck is done through iMedX. Hmmm. Halloween was the last day for many....suddenly. Worked half a day and got locked out with an email stating due to lack of work. This ad Alpha posted does not mention VA work, but supposedly they had acquired a new VISN. Never saw it start and there was a lack of work? With all the uproar about iMedX who knows what is going on. But even trying to go to that side as an IC, you had to do their shifts, their days..that is NOT an IC.

Alpha team lead email, at least 1, came with the email footer in the name of iMedx and their contact information and not Alpha, and the transcription manager had Alpha and nothing about iMedx. They didn't know what they were doing, but I did.

Which Alpha are you talking about, the one based out of Minnesota or the one from Illinois/Tennessee? I had a not-so-great experience with a company recently as well.

Looking at their ad on MT Daily. Any information would be helpful. Are there any benefits for FT or is it IC's only? The ad says IC. If they have FT/employee, do they offer insurance? I see it is mostly editing. Do they frown upon using the mouse to move around in the text? Do they count off for errors? Just routine information would be helpful. ...

An acquaintance of mine got this message from Alpha (now owned by ImedX). There has been a lack of work since ImedX took over countless VA hospitals that used to be handled by Alpha. In short, U.S. Government is now paying a foreign company, using taxpayer money, while causing unemployment for Americans, and the so called Americans working for Alpha/ImedX are assisting them.
